Framework Housing Association is the lead provider of drug and alcohol treatment within the City of Nottingham and is offering an exciting opportunity to join a team of staff in this Care Quality commission rated GOOD care setting.
Framework is looking to appoint a cook at Edwin House
Edwin House is a 63-bed facility based in Radford. Of these 63 beds, 15 are used for an in-patient detox and 41 beds provide residential accommodation.
The post holder is responsible for delivering high quality and nutritional meals to users of the service. This involves
effective planning of menus and a knowledge of the various dietary and cultural needs of the client group. The
Cook also takes responsibility in ensuring that Food Hygiene standards are adhered to and that Health and Safety
procedures are adhered to at all times in the kitchen. This role also involves supporting some service users in
learning to cook
You must be flexible and able to work on a rota.
37 hours per week.
Duties & Responsibilities
In conjunction with the Head Chef plan menus in order to provide a high standard of nutrition and choice,
ensuring a nutritional balance at all times
Prepare and serve meals in compliance with food hygiene standards and regulations and ensure
crockery, cutlery, kitchen utensils and all kitchen areas are thoroughly cleaned after use.
Ensure all necessary documentation in completed correctly in a timely manner
Complete nutritional assessments for all residents with ongoing reviews
Provide support for service users who are learning to cook in order to gain independence
