We are looking for a Food Buying Manager to come and join the team based in our Ipswich Head Office. This is a rare career defining opportunity to join our Procurement team and be responsible for sourcing and buying all Food supplies for our fleet of ships.
You will naturally be a food buying expert, particularly experienced in buying Meat and Poultry (and other proteins) with an understanding of quality and cost requirements. You have the chance to bring innovation to our guests onboard our ships, by accessing exclusive and regional new products. This is a role that touches so many key stakeholders across the business, integral to the experience of our guests on-board. Collaborating closely with our Executive Chefs, on-board Hotel teams and Services teams, you will drive the next chapter of our cruise food experience. You will investigate and develop new sources of supply, defining and creating bid specifications, tendering and sourcing processes and supplier selection, with a focus on compliance and quality.
As the successful candidate, you will have proven food sourcing and buying experience, an excellent negotiator and have an understanding of food safety standards.
This is a permanent full time position working 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
