• Manages the overall development efforts for a significant and complex NASA program or a set of complex projects with multiple interfaces and extensive scope and variety.

Major duties include, but are not limited to:

- Supervising and conducting performance reviews with assigned NFS

consistently create high quality products.
- Oversees all work related to food procurement, storage, preparation, presentation
and set up for food service.
- Responsible for culinary presentation, ensuring that meals are pleasing in taste
and appearance.
- Inspects work assignments daily, ensuring tasks are completed correctly,
accurately, economically, and adhere to all food safety requirements.
- Continuously evaluates all quality control processes and conducts Hazards
Analysis Critical Control Point analysis.
- Revises processes as needed to ensure that the food service system complies
with the US FDA Food Code, ServSafe Standards, Infection Control Policies, and
other food safety and security regulations.
- Enforces the food service system quality control program, assuring temperatures
are monitored for all temperature-controlled for safety foods (TCS foods)
throughout the flow of food in all food service settings.
- Ensures that immediate, appropriate, corrective action is taken when temperature
monitoring systems indicates foods or storage areas are out of range.

• Duties described below are at the highest grade advertised. Duties assigned at lower grade levels will be of more limited scope, performed with less independence and limited complexity; duties will be commensurate with the grade of selected employee.
• Utilizes an extensive knowledge of related engineering technology for Orion Spacecraft assembly, test, and production to arrive at satisfactory solutions which affect other related projects and components.
• Utilizes various analysis methods in order to provide technical insight to the Orion Production Office, Engineering Director, and other stakeholder personnel related to flight vehicle component processing anomalies associated with Orion Spacecraft.
• Provides technical engineering insight/oversight for the mechanisms system during assembly, integration, testing, and production for Orion flight vehicles.
• Leads or performs work concerning the principles of mechanical motion, energy, force, and material properties to ensure mechanical devices, systems, equipment, and/or components function safely, reliably, efficiently, and economically.
• Conducts engineering reviews of Non-conformances, anomalies, and corrective actions and provides insights/recommendations that are used toward Certification of Flight Readiness of the Orion Spacecraft.
• Participates in program technical forums, failure review boards, engineering review boards, and works with system managers performing cross Orion integration system engineering.
• Resolves difficult problems generally unique or controversial in nature, requiring experienced professional aerospace engineering decisions and direct application of engineering judgment to achieve effective, timely results.
• Performs multiple functions which may include planning, research, metric data, design, development, test and evaluation, cost analyses, ground support interfaces, program, and project management.

This position independently performs duties that require proficiency in special procedures and broad knowledge of service operations, such as food and beverage preparation, modified diets, computer proficiency, dishwashing, dry and refrigerated storage, and safety and sanitation.

Major duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Sets up and breaks down assigned station with the correct supplies and food items;
• Portions food items into standard serving sizes using the proper utensils and specified dishware;
• Decides what food items to serve for the most common diets when the diet card or tray ticket identifies only the kind of diet called for;
• Provides patients with basic information about modified diets and the nutrition services that are available;
• Identifies obvious discrepancies between the prescribed diets and the food items designated by the menu;
• Follows directions in assembling, measuring, weighing, or mixing ingredients for basic formulas and supplemental feedings following standardized recipes and using sanitary techniques;
• Delivers meal trays to the patients' bedsides; reporting the patients' comments and complaints to the supervisor or dietitian;
• Provides assistance to cooks in the food preparation area including assembling, labeling and arranging completed recipe items in preparation for use by cooks;
• Prepares fresh fruit/cold salads/dressings/sandwich fillings and cold sandwiches and simple cold desserts along with individual and bulk nourishments and supplement foods and beverages for patients;
• Makes final check of diet trays assembled by lower grade workers for completeness, correct food temperatures;
• Works in one or more functional areas of the kitchen such as food preparation, dish and pot washing, dry and refrigerated storage and receiving, and the serving line;
• Performs heavy-duty cleaning tasks throughout the food service and related areas;
• Performing other duties as assigned.
