Ready to turn your culinary expertise into a rewarding career? At HIT Training, one of the UK's leading hospitality and catering training providers, we're looking for experienced Chefs, looking to share their knowledge with the next generation.
Your Role as a Chef Trainer:
As a Head Chef, Sous Chef, Executive Chef, or Chef de Partie, your knowledge of culinary techniques and working with fresh ingredients puts you in the perfect position to pass on your knowledge of and skills to our apprentices.
As a Chef Trainer, you'll enjoy the flexibility of working from home and get the chance to hit the road and visit different sites within your region to meet your learners face to face. A typical week will involve 2-3 days of travelling to see your chef apprentices in their kitchens, with the remainder working from home meeting apprentices online and completing administration.
What You'll Do:
Work with chef apprentices in their kitchens and online.
Use your industry knowledge to train the next generation of chefs.
Meet new apprentices and discuss their learning needs.
Support your apprentices with their functional skills, explaining how English and maths are important in the kitchen.
Attend our award-winning Chef Academy with your apprentices to support hands-on learning of various techniques.
Visit employers and provide feedback on their apprentices’ skills.
Develop relationships with employers in your area.
About You
We’re looking for passionate chefs, looking to share their knowledge and make a meaningful impact on the culinary industry. To succeed in this role, you’ll need the following:
Demonstrable experience at Head Chef, Sous Chef or Chef De Partie level and a passion for teaching.
A good grasp of technology and administrative skills.
Have, or be willing to work towards, a Level 2 (GCSE) qualification in English and maths.
A valid Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle for travel within your region.
