Reporting to the Director of Sales as our Business Development Director you will need to drive and develop new and existing business for Meetings, Incentives, Conferences and Exhibitions from the UK and Europe to maximise revenue in line with the targets assigned to you. You will be able to strategically manage and develop key accounts for the hotel, expanding the hotel’s existing European networks by representing the hotel at local, regional, national, and international tradeshows for the MICE market, whilst working collaboratively with all Global Sales personnel to build lasting relationships. Providing support to the sales office, solve complex problems impacting multiple departments or sub-functions. Analysing them to understand underlaying issues and root causes, you can create an environment where best practice can be shared, A team player and contribute to a professional and balanced working environment who creates pride in delivering a consistent guest experience.
You will need a degree of knowledge of the UK and European Incentive and Agency markets along with a proven track record of delivering sales achievements with at least 5 years’ experience within a hotel, service, or hospitality industry. Including at least 2 years’ experience of the MICE sales.
It is essential that you can work well under pressure, with minimal supervision and maintain high standards and attention to detail. You will also hold a valid full UK driving licence.
