- Managing, influencing and developing a team of regional chefs and nutritionists
- A figurehead for food and nutrition development in Holroyd Howe
- Chef academy collaboration/connection – managing and delivery of training and development
- Culinary Talent spotting – junior through to senior
- Partner with Supply Chain to ensure a commercial approach to the supply of quality products and supplier relationships
- Develop and maintain strong relationships across the business at all levels and always maintain credibility
- Weekly food communication updates with Operations teams
- Ensure health and food safety procedures are always followed across the business
- Support contract retention and sales presentations with innovative and inspiring ideas to ensure we are at the forefront of the independent school catering market
- UK travel as required with business needs

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a visionary Director of Food to lead our team into a new era of creativity and food innovation. This pivotal role will drive forward our food and nutrition development strategy, setting new standards across our diverse portfolio.
As a valued member of the senior leadership team, the Director of Food will spearhead innovation, ensuring our food offer remains at the forefront of the independent school catering market.
Leading a team of regional chefs and nutritionists, you will foster a culture of creativity and excellence, guiding them to deliver exceptional culinary experiences across all our locations.

Qualifications - Proven culinary experience in leading successful kitchen operations within the Retail, Hospitality and Events sector, independent education experience is desirable but not essential.
- Proven experience of successfully overseeing the delivery of multi-sites with large volume and mass production through to hospitality and fine dining or bespoke classes such as bread making.
- Overseen and created food concepts, innovations and/or campaigns from design to implementation
- Project management experience, overseeing new openings / mobilisations / refurbishments within a budget and deadlines.
- Experience in hosting training sessions & proven experience developing careers of future culinary talent.
- Strong influencing skills
- Can present confidently and with credibility and enthusiasm to clients, consultants, internal stakeholders and large audiences
- Commercially astute
- Dynamic and innovative
- Able to gain credibility with all stakeholders including clients, consultants, team and other employees within the business
