Primary responsibilities of the Head Chef

- To ensure all food prepared meets Food Hygiene Standards and ensure that safe methods of work are always used. Be aware of the legal requirements of Health and Safety legislation, including, but not limited to; the requirements of Food Safety Act 1990, Food Premises Regulations 1991, Food Safety (General Food Hygiene) Regulations 1995 and Food Safety (Temperature Control) Regulations 1995
- To ensure that all kitchen equipment, work areas and other facilities are maintained and operate to the standards required by Statutory Bodies, Local Authority, Health and Safety, Food Hygiene regulations and Company policies
- To assist in the recruitment and training of catering employees and assist in their development. Ensure that all mandatory training is completed and identify additional training as and when required. Ensure that safe methods of work are used at all times and no unauthorised persons cleans or operates any dangerous machinery
- To manage all stocks and ordering ensuring all food is correctly marked and rotation systems are in place to comply with Food Hygiene regulations and Company Policies. Maintain records, stocktaking as required and budgetary controls
- To regularly audit Health and Safety, Food Hygiene and HACCP checks ensuring all documentation is completed for due diligence and inspection by internal and external authorities. Complete any actions required in a timely fashion
- Show courtesy and respect to residents and their relatives at all times through regular contact and actively encouraging feedback. Work with the clinical team to provide support and advice whenever and as often as is required. Menu planning and creation in line with demand, feedback and clinical advice

Job Description

• Menu Planning and Execution – create and plan menus in accordance with the style and customer preferences of the location. Oversee food preparation and presentation to ensure high-quality dishes, monitoring wastage and portion control

Deputy Hotel Manager - Bedford South (A421) - 40 hours Contract
Salary: £26,750 - £30,000 + Benefits
As Deputy Hotel Manager you are a pivotal part of the Hotel Management team. Reporting to the Hotel Manager and deputising in their absence, you'll be responsible for the successful daily running operation of all departments (Front of House, Back of House* and housekeeping teams) whilst making sure our guests and team are kept safe, all internal audits successfully passed and compliance requirements are met.

Day to Day

· Answering the phone

· Monitoring pub emails, corresponding or forwarding to correct manager

· Receipting deliveries

· Responding to all booking inquiries ensuring all booking diary and systems are up to date and with as much information in them as possible

· Re-confirming table and room reservations where necessary

· Mystery Sleeper champion – ensuring that our housekeepers are maintaining peach room standards

· Daily Room and Communal area Checks.

· Working with Peach central team on occupancy levels, converting bookings and generating leads and new guest relationships

· Meet, greet and show rounds with guests.

· Weekly chefs diary of any pre orders or kitchen need to knows.

· Hold weekly meetings with HC and GM to discuss upcoming bookings and events and any specific menu requests and pricing.

· Hold monthly performance reviews against budgeted targets with GM to discuss opportunities and plan quarterly events diary

· Menu Change – Tills, changeover of menus in pub and rooms, ensuring a smooth flow, pricing complete and accurate and team training in advance for all new dishes and drinks

· Support team on service when needed and available.

· Event host on large bookings to be the main point of contact from initial enquiry to delivery

Full Time Team Leader
- Starbucks
- Bedford Station.


Everyone regardless of age starts on £11 per hour.

We are looking for Team Leader to join our Starbucks at Bedford Station.

As a Team Leader you will work a variety of shifts between 5am and 7pm, including weekends.

Responsibilities for Team Leader:

- Leads the shift and motivates the team to drive sales
- Follows opening, closing & shift changeover procedures ensuring effective handover
- Ensures the cleaning schedules are followed with all cleaning monitored & allocated fairly
- Following Health & Safety/Food Safety/Statutory requirements and report to Line Manager if required
- Trains the team on brand standards
- Ensures cash procedures followed by all staff


Requirements for Team Leader:

- Team Leader/Supervisor experience within retail or hospitality sector
- Due to some responsibilities within this role, applicants will need to be 18 years of age or over to perform certain tasks or work on certain shifts and also will need to be able to serve and handle alcohol.
