The Role

The Radiology Technologist Flex B agrees to float within assigned hospitals throughout Corewell Health (Farmington Hills, Grosse Pointe, Royal Oak, Troy). This position is scheduled and reports to the Beaumont Flex Office located at Beaumont Service Center.

Under supervision and according to established policies and procedures, performs accurate and efficient diagnostic exams in all areas of general radiology.  Technologists must demonstrate good clinical skills and provide the best possible images for interpretation.  Applies principles of radiation protection and complies with regulations.  Assumes responsibility for designated area and provides clinical instruction as appropriate.  Always follows Corewell philosophy of Patient and Family Centered Care.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

Performs quality diagnostic exams after verification of patient identification and physician order. Acquire an accurate patient history and document in the medical record. Monitors patients during procedures to ensure patient safety. Perform radiographic and related patient care procedures using age appropriate methods for patient’s physical ability and/or limitations. Ensures STAT requests are relayed to radiologist in a timely manner Effectively communicates on an inter/intra-department level with customer service, administrative, medical staff, and peers. Demonstrates ability to proficiently operate diagnostic imaging equipment and follow policy for any malfunctions or quality control failures. Utilize ALARA standards for minimizing radiation exposure to patient, staff and self. Provides procedural information/education to the patient/family prior to each exam. Contributes to the effective operations of the department by assisting fellow employees and staying in compliance with quality assurance and quality control. Ability to use hospital computer systems accurately and efficiently for verifying orders, viewing schedules and sending information to PACS. Assists in the training of students/new hires. Ensures equipment is wiped down between patients and exam room is clean and properly stocked with linen and supplies. Maintains competency in all assigned areas including, but not limited to fluoroscopic, general diagnostic, orthopedic and operating procedures.

The Ambulatory Medication Access Coordinator (AMAC) will coordinate access to specialty medications for TMC patients, ambulatory providers, and pharmacy team. The AMAC will provide high quality care by ensuring optimal access and reimbursement for high cost, take home medications for patients receiving care in TMC ambulatory clinics. This position will conduct benefit investigations, complete necessary third party (insurance) prior authorization requests and associated services related to high cost medications, maximizing efficiency for patients and clinic staff. The AMAC will pre-screen patients for viable payment sources, manage reimbursement issues associated with high cost take-home medications, identify opportunities for improving reimbursement from payers, compile reports for contract optimization, complete the necessary paperwork for prior authorizations, conduct retrospective utilization reviews on cases of payment denials or insufficient reimbursement, and refer to pharmaceutical assistance programs as appropriate. The AMAC will serve as a liaison to other TMC pharmacy services.

Minimum Requirements

• Education: completion of a Bachelor degree program in a Healthcare related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience

• Experience and Training: 3 to 5 years of health care and/or specialty pharmacy and/or insurance prior authorization experience. Exceptional aptitude or knowledge may be considered in lieu of experience

• Registered Pharmacy Technician within Missouri upon employment

Demonstrates ability to proficiently operate Mammography and Ultrasound imaging equipment. Obtain the highest quality images by using the appropriate techniques for patient positioning for screening, tomography, and diagnostic exams, invasive mammography procedures and breast ultrasound imaging. Monitors patients during procedures to ensure patient safety. Maintains and pursues professional development per ARRT and/or ARMDS requirements. Knowledge with hospital computer site software systems for charging, viewing schedules and PACS for sending information both accurately and efficiently. Provides effective inter/intra-departmental communication and participation with medical staff, management, technical and support staff. Provide procedural information/education to the patient/family prior to each exam. Clean and restock exam rooms, storerooms, and monitor department cleanliness.

Education / Training:

REPRESENTATIVE PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Perform machinery and equipment examinations to troubleshoot for defects/visual wear in operation.
• Dismantles devices to gain access to and remove defective parts.  Removes all defective parts and installs all new parts in compliance with set company standards.
• Perform electrical and motor testing; fuse continuity checks; voltage/resistance/current relationships.
• Performs all necessary bench work, functional testing of rebuilt machines and modified machines by checking performance and making necessary or desirable adjustments and changes.
• As directed by the Maintenance Supervisor, participates in Hazardous Material, Hazardous Waste handling and management efforts, labeling waste storage containers, and dispensing chemicals to employees.
• Report major machine or possible production problems to the Maintenance Supervisor and/or lead and/or department manager.
• Answers all service calls and makes necessary repairs without supervision.
• Makes sound judgment calls in emergency situations.
• Follows Managers/Supervisor/Leads instructions regarding production priorities schedule.
• Maintain appropriate down-time and changeover log sheets
• Performs preventative maintenance as per area assigned.
• Responsible for the manufacture of safe, legal, and quality product.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
• Attends all company safety meetings and trainings.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES REQUIRED·        

• High school diploma GED required, technical school a plus; 3 to 6 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Must be able to interpret and apply measurement data from mechanical drawings, repair and fabricate metal parts by operating mechanical equipment, and assemble parts into sub assemblies or complete units as required.
• Experience in the maintenance and troubleshooting of production equipment required
• Required to stand and walk on concrete floors while infrequently lifting and carrying up to 50 pounds. 
• Frequent kneeling, twisting of the back, and climbing, along with frequent use of both hands, is also required.
• Reaching at, above and below shoulder level is continuous.
• The employee must possess efficient means of communicating with others.
• Color and close vision are essential when repairing machinery.
• Manual dexterity.
• Ability to pay attention to details.
• Trained in basic HACCP and pre-requisite programs relevant to area of responsibilities, chemical handling, code of safe practices, etc.

WORKING CONDITIONS

• May work in the maintenance shop, however, spends most of the time on the plant floor.
• May use PC to reset control fields of PLC controls and generate daily maintenance report.
• While performing the duties of this job, the employee may be exposed to extreme cold and changes in temperature.  The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to loud,

Job Title: B Shift Picking / Fulfillment Lead

Reports to:  Department Supervisor

Location:  Mooresville, IN

The Role

The purpose of a Distribution Lead is to oversee the daily productivity of the assigned department. This position will be responsible for the daily and/or hourly delegation of tasking associates, pulling and reading reports regarding incoming waves, ensuring the department headcount is sufficient to properly complete the estimated production for the shift, tracking associate performance, and properly communicate any issues to other Leads or Management. 

A department Lead is responsible for productivity tasks and to keep a steady workflow within the department and dependent Fulfillment departments. It is expected that a Department Lead show exemplary patience when issues occur and be comfortable in providing crucial conversations and coaching associates regarding productivity or behavior issues as needed. It is expected that a Department Lead demonstrates a professional demeanor and treats associates with fairness. A Department Lead is expected to be able to read, write, and speak English as you will be expected to send written as well as verbal communications to other Leads, Supervisors, Managers, etc.
