Join DP World as the Director of Partnerships & Events (DPE), where you’ll lead our APAC strategy, fostering high-impact relationships across B2B, sports, and government sectors. This role offers a unique opportunity to shape DP World's brand through sports marketing, event management, content creation, and strategic messaging, amplifying our presence across digital, social, and experiential channels. We seek a dynamic communications leader with a passion for connection, a knack for enhancing brand visibility, and exceptional stakeholder management abilities. This role is based in Singapore and reports directly to the Vice President of Communications, APAC.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead strategic management of DP World’s rights and benefits within current partnerships, ensuring we extract maximum value and visibility in each engagement.
- Understand DP World’s objectives and identify high-impact opportunities with event organizers and rights holders throughout the APAC region.
- Work closely with globally recognized communications, sports, and experiential agencies to deliver seamless, integrated engagement across all events and partnerships.
- Coordinate logistics and communications for executive spokespersons, ensuring all speaking engagements reflect DP World’s brand and values.
- Prepare concise briefing papers and organize subject-matter meetings to equip senior leaders with insights and data for successful engagement.
- Lead the creation of impactful messaging, coordinating photographers, videographers, and other creatives to bring our brand to life at every opportunity.
- Develop insightful wrap-up reports, ensuring key teams have the necessary information for media, internal communications, and digital channels.
- Align all outputs with DP World’s global brand strategy, covering partnerships in sport, B2B, experiential, and merchandising.
- Manage a robust merchandise program to build and maintain a strong brand presence across the region.
- Foster close, effective communication with global C-suite executives, regional communications teams, and external partners including rights holders, conference organizers, and agencies.
Qualifications, Experience, and Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree with 15+ years of experience in managing rights and benefits, developing impactful communication and activation plans.
- A process-driven mindset and a proven track record in project management, with a proactive and positive approach.
- A self-starter who excels under pressure, adept at prioritizing multiple projects, taking initiative, and achieving results in a fast-paced environment.
- Exceptional interpersonal skills, comfortable working with diverse cultures and across all levels, including senior leadership.
- Strong budget management abilities and experience working with multiple agencies.
- An outstanding communicator (both written and spoken English), with an integrated view on storytelling and a keen understanding of leveraging content across paid, owned, and earned channels.
- Fast, efficient, and detail-oriented, with a commitment to quality and the ability to meet tight deadlines.
- A hands-on approach, willing to tackle tasks of any size to ensure success.
- Flexibility in working hours and travel to accommodate the role’s demands.
- Industry knowledge is a plus, but not essential.
