We’re now hiring a full-time Junior Sous Chef for our Chefgood facility in Keysborough (VIC), overseeing the morning shift within our kitchen team and being responsible for leading a team of 5 in close collaboration with our Head Chef. 

Your role:

• Supervise kitchen staff, implementing new training procedures to enhance team skills and productivity.
• Manage staff productivity and oversee day-to-day kitchen operations in collaboration with the Head Chef.
• Ensure adherence to GMP rules and maintain high standards of food quality, taste, and compliance with health and safety regulations.
• Execute and oversee the preparation of diverse dishes based on established recipes, contributing to menu development with the culinary team.
• Monitor and maintain kitchen equipment, ensuring proper functionality.
• Ensure accurate and timely completion of work orders (WO) to meet production requirements.

• Certificate 4 Commercial Cookery 
• Minimum 2 years experience in production kitchen or hospitality
• Proven track record of / Experienced in managing staff and production kitchen
• Confidence with Google Data Studio and G-suite products
• Naturally organised with excellent attention to detail
• Collaborator who works well across different teams and functions
• Have positive attitude, calm under pressure

We are looking for casual Production Chef's to support the kitchen operations team, at our Keysborough location.

The Role in a nutshell:

• Preparation process of getting raw foods ready to be turned into delicious meals.
• Ensure that all recipes are accurately scaled for production and that the necessary ingredients and equipment are available.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure that all products are manufactured to the highest standards of quality and consistency.
• Ensure all FSQA requirements are met and maintained in your area.
• Bulk cooking
• Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements, including food safety and environmental regulations.

• At least 1 year industry experience.
• Cert 3 in commercial cookery.
• Current food handlers Certificate and be aware of working in a HACCP certified facility.
• Be task orientated and be strong in time management .
• Bulk cooking / Catering experience preferred.
• Will be working in a strong team environment
• Available Monday to Friday 6am - 3pm
• Physically fit and are able to lift up to 15kg bags of food items with ease.

Our Quality team is looking for a full time Food Safety Quality Manager to help us grow Marley Spoon.

Your role

You will be responsible in organizing and coordinating the safety and quality of products to our customers through the following:

• Leadership of the Site Food Safety & Quality team
• Monitors plant compliance to relevant regulations, food safety, quality and customer standards
• Inspects and audits the sites food safety and quality status
• Delivers training on food safety and quality awareness programs
• Evaluates, interprets and disseminates regulator information and quality standards to all site team members
• Lead and develop department DMS and contributes to the site DMS
• Responsible for the release of product based on operational parameters
• Approves and manages key food safety and quality outcomes

This is you

• Bachelor's degree in a related field (food science, food technology);
• High level of integrity and accountability;
• Must be comfortable working independently with minimal oversight;
• Must possess strong leadership, organizational, and planning skills;
• Working knowledge of quality systems, food safety programs, GMPs, food defence, and HACCP;
• Ability to work in a temperature controlled environment;
• Be able to attend work at Altona North, Victoria.

Our Quality team is looking for a full time Food Safety Quality Specialist to help us grow Marley Spoon.

Your role

You will be responsible in organizing and coordinating the safety and quality of products to our customers through the following:

• Carry out internal audits such as Monthly Food Safety Self-Assessment, Weekly Food Safety Self-assessment, Glass & Brittle audit, Thermometer Calibration, Weighing Scale Calibration.
• Carry out sensory evaluation & shelf-life tests of products such as dairy, meat, fish, poultry, fresh produce & repacked items like grains, pasta, spices and condiments to ensure compliance with Marley Spoon standard.
• Train staff to maintain GMP, conduct inspections, audits and risk assessments, conduct investigations, close out corrective actions and to be aware of the role they play and responsibilities they must ensure safe products and quality.
• Build relationship with other analysts within the business to drive improvements, hold stakeholders accountable, drive and follow up on actions with stakeholders
• Carry out and/or supervise production file checks - Carry out internal FSQA escalations & follow up with relevant internal stakeholders on the root cause and corrective actions. - Raise NCR’s to vendors to determine the root causes of the non-compliance and ensure appropriate corrective actions are taken. -Report all malfunctions to the operations team to ensure immediate action.
• Monitor packaging & labelling with respect to NIP (Nutritional information panel), allergen information, country of origin and BBD (best before date) for existing and new products -Communicate insights, trends, frameworks and recommendations where improvement in process can occur to achieve execution of business strategies - Analyse the data across quality control dashboards, receival records & internal audits to ensure compliance and continuous improvement.
