This is your opportunity to gain practical operational experience with one of Europe’s fastest-growing hotel chains, whilst studying to earn a Chartered Manager Degree Apprenticeship in BSc (Hons) Applied Business Management! Take a deep breath because you'll be stepping into a busy role: earning while you're learning!
This is a fixed-term 2.5 year opportunity. In your first 2 years, you will spend time across our five hotels London covering a number of departments which may include Housekeeping, Reception, Food & Beverage and Meetings & Events to help you gain a rounded knowledge of each of the hotels. Following this you will choose a specialism in one of these areas, in which you will continue to work in order to develop your supervisory/managerial skills for the final part of your programme.
We are looking for hard-working individuals who can demonstrate dedication and enthusiasm in helping manage our hotels and look after our guests. You’ll be guided by a team of outstanding professionals who are committed to building confident team leaders along the way, so Come Join Us!
The working week includes 32-hours working in the hotel on a rota and an 8-hour study day. Remember this role is in a hospitality business, so will involve shift work including weekends, bank holidays and evenings.
What does the City Degree Apprenticeship offer me?
We are very pleased to offer this City Degree Apprenticeship in partnership with Corndel:
- The programme is fully accredited by the Chartered Management Institute and is designed to help you grow and develop in your career
- One-to-one coaching with an experienced industry professional
- The learning is based online; you will also have the opportunity to participate in in-person community and networking events
- Upon completion of the programme you will have a Level 6 qualification, which is equivalent to a degree with honours
What will I be doing in the hotel?
Whilst working across a number of different departments, we will expect you to:
- Support your manager with daily operations and service delivery
- Meet and exceed guests’ expectations by offering exceptional hospitality
- Be creative and bringing ideas to the table
- Be a confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
- Possess excellent attention to detail
- Have the ability to work collaboratively with others with a proactive and positive outlook.
- Lead by example! Don’t forget to let your personality shine through
- Support with the delivery of events to help create those “wow” moments
Am I eligible for this programme?
To be eligible for the programme and the funding, you must:
- Be 18yrs or over (or be 18 by the 11th October)
- Not be in full time education (or have finished education by 11th October)
- Live in England
- Be a UK citizen or have the right to work in the UK
- Have been resident in the UK for at least 3 years
- Not be on a GAE or Student visa
- Provide evidence of Level 2 qualifications in Maths & English at GCSE grade A*- C / 9-4
