A reputable hospitality business, based in Bolton, are looking to appoint a newly created Assistant Finance Manager to join their small but growing team on a permanent and full-time basis. This business are located in a scenic part of Bolton, easily accessible from Wigan, Blackburn, Darwen, Rossendale and Bury.
Your new role
In your role of Assistant Finance Manager, you will report directly to the FC and be responsible for ensuring all the financial processing functions are complete, alongside co-ordinating with the Finance Controller for guidance and direction on control matters as well as any commercial management of the property. Due to the nature of the business, you will complete a Revcon audit each daily, ensuring all revenue and statistics are inputting, payment methods are reconciled and identity any shortages / overages. You will ensure all ledgers inclusive of sales, guest, deposit and open table are balanced regularly. You will oversee the purchase ledger, ensuring all invoices are processed and cost controls are updated daily. This is a full time role, based onsite at the hotel, working a flexible 8 hour daily shifts between the hours of 8am and 5pm (9am-5pm / 8am-4pm etc) Monday to Friday.
What you'll need to succeed
As this role is based in hospitality, it is essential that you have experience working in a busy hotel function and have worked in this sector post covid. This is a development role; therefore no experience is necessary with management, but you must have a strong working knowledge of both purchase ledger and sales ledger experience. You will have a good understanding of financial systems and experience on Sage 50, PremSpa PMS, Zonal POS & Opera PMS would be highly advantageous.
