Salary: £26,312 per annum plus £1,000 welcome bonus
Contract: Perm
Shift Pattern: 40 hours per week, working 4 shifts per week between the hours of 8am and 8pm - to include weekends on a rota basis

Due to an internal promotion, Richmond Village in Aston on Trent is looking to appoint a new Chef De Partie. The role of the Chef De Partie in this luxury retirement village is a unique blend of culinary skill and lifestyle balance. With no late nights, you will enjoy an harmonious work-life rhythm while showcasing your talents across a variety of dining settings, from the intimate care home to the bustling restaurant and cafe. This position offers a chance to make a meaningful impact on residents' lives through the universal language of delicious food, all within the comfort of a refined and serene environment..
You'll help us make health happen by:
- Catering to residents across the Village which comprises of a Restaurant, Club House Cafe, Care Home and Spa.
- Prepare and cook food in accordance with food hygiene regulations
- Be aware of residents, villagers and Wellness Spa clients' dietary needs - responding to their comments and requests in respect of the menu
- Be involved in the preparation and serving of the meals on the hotplate, as required
- Ensuring that all food is used within the prescribed period, with particular attention paid to perishable (high risk) goods
- Ensuring a welcoming, safe and compliant environment for our residents to dine in
- Helping to maintain a clean and hygienic working area.
Key Skills / Qualifications needed for this role:
Passionate about food, you'll have experience working in a professional kitchen, ideally catering for customers with special dietary requirements. An understanding of health and safety procedures, ideally with an NVQ or equivalent City & Guilds and CIEH Level 2 Food Safety Award or Equivalent. Open to new ideas, you'll have an innovative yet organised approach to cooking, always adhering to high standards and remaining calm during a busy service. You'll enjoy working with others, working together to create and deliver an excellent dining experience at each meal.
Because we care for vulnerable people, we'll need you to complete a DBS check as part of the recruitment process. Bupa will cover the cost of this (£40).
