ABOUT YOU
To be considered for any of these positions, you must be able to demonstrate the following:


Relevant diploma or equivalent experience required, with a minimum 2 years’ experience required in a similar position.
Proven ability to oversee busy breakfast, lunch & dinner shifts while running the front of house of the restaurant.
Show a continual desire to deliver exceptional customer service.
Excellent communication skills
Attention to detail in a high pressure fast paced environment.
Wine knowledge preferable but not essential.
Must be able to carry 3 plates.
Fluent English and well groomed
RSA Certificate essential.
Experience on computerised POS systems.
Available to work days, evenings and weekends. (8 at Trinity is currently closed on Mondays and Tuesdays)
Must be very well presented and well spoken, reliable and honest.

THE ROLE
• Prepare and cook foods, either on a regular basis or for special guests or functions.
• Ensure consistency across the production of all prep and finished meals in all services.
• Inspect supplies, equipment and work areas to ensure conformance to established standards.
• Monitor food safety/cleaning practices to ensure that employees follow standards and regulations.
• Menu planning.
• Analyse recipes to assign prices to menu items, based on food, labour and overhead costs.
• Collaborate with management to plan and develop recipes and menus, factoring seasonality and projected sales.
• Demonstrate new cooking techniques and equipment to staff.

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Relevant qualifications or equivalent experience required.
• Relevant work experience as a chef required.
• Demonstrable experience as a chef in training and developing kitchen staff teams.
• Ability to effectively work in large kitchen teams.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Can handle pressure and fast paced environment.

This is a full time permanent position across a 7-day rotating roster. Shifts would involve a combination of mornings, day and evening work.

ABOUT YOU
To be considered for any of these positions, you must be able to demonstrate the following:


Relevant qualification or work experience in a similar position required.
Ability to handle a busy section with multiple sittings per day for section waitstaff.
Take reservations, greet customers and present them with menus and beverage lists.
Set and arrange tables.
Recommend dishes and wines to complement food (particularly in fine-dining establishments).
Take orders and relay them to kitchen and bar staff.
Serve food and beverages.
Open bottles and pour beverages including mixing liquor and assisting in the cellar.
Clear tables, return dishes and cutlery to the kitchen, remove empty bottles and used glasses from tables, and refill and replace glasses.
Collect payments for sales and operate point of sales machines and cash registers.
Communicate food orders to chefs, paying attention to priorities and special requests (e.g., food allergies).
Communicate and liaise with other front of house and kitchen staff to keep up to date on stock levels.
Prepare food and beverage areas of the Restaurant for service.
Adhere to Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) legislation and requirements.
Communicate any issues concerning service and escalate complaints to the Restaurant Manager leaving customers satisfied with the outcome.
Perform other appropriate duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Restaurant Manager.
Maintain a safe and hygienic working environment.
Adopt continuous learning and improvement processes in all aspects of the position.
Understand, implement, participate and promote Company Policies and Procedures, and Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) objectives, processes and procedures.
