Job Description:
Aim Coffee (M) Sdn Bhd is seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Credit Control Executive to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a key role in managing customer accounts, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining strong client relationships to support our growing business in premium coffee roasting and distribution.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Credit Management:
• Assess and approve credit applications for new and existing customers based on company policies.
• Set appropriate credit limits and monitor accounts to minimize financial risks.
2. Payment Monitoring:
• Track and follow up on overdue accounts through phone calls, emails, or site visits.
• Prepare and distribute customer account statements and payment reminders.
3. Customer Relationship Management:
• Build strong relationships with customers to address payment concerns and negotiate payment plans when necessary.
• Provide support and resolve customer inquiries regarding invoicing and account balances.
4. Reporting and Analysis:
• Generate regular credit control and debtor reports for management review.
• Identify trends or patterns in late payments and recommend strategies for improvement.
5. Collaboration:
• Work closely with the sales and finance teams to align on customer account statuses and payment issues.
• Support the finance team in reconciling accounts and resolving discrepancies.
6. Compliance:
• Ensure compliance with internal credit control policies and industry regulations.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of customer transactions and communications.
7. Administrative Tasks
• Perform general administrative tasks on an ad-hoc basis to support the finance and operations teams.
Requirements:
• Diploma or Degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Proven experience (2+ years) in credit control, accounts receivable, or a similar role.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills, with the ability to handle sensitive customer situations professionally.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and familiarity with accounting software.
• Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
