Become an integral part of an experienced and dedicated Purchase Ledger team. Maintain accurate and up to date creditor details and account records on the Purchase Ledger system. Registering creditor invoices / credit notes on the Purchase Ledger system, ensuring all fields are completed accurately. A high level of concentration, accuracy and speed of registering is expected due to the volume of invoices registered. Complete the necessary paperwork and supporting documentation for the creation of new creditors/amendments to existing creditors, informing interested parties. Ensure that amendments are validated to counter potential fraudulent claims against the Trust. Writing manual cheques whereby cheque payment is required. This must be completed and authorised in line with the Trusts Standing Financial Instructions. Corresponding and chasing internal departments for invoices that require signature, in line with the Trusts Authorised Signatory List, and ensuring its return to the Finance department before payment can be authorised. Validating staff travel and taxi journey expenditure against relevant supporting documentation provided. Checking and registering patient optical vouchers. Being a primary Trust contact for correspondence with Trust creditors. This will require pro-active management, direction and resolution of queries via telephone, e-mail and in writing. Working under the direction of, and reporting to, the Purchase Ledger Supervisor who will assign workload in line with departmental capacity and pressures. Assist in meeting internal and statutory financial accounts month and year end deadlines. Other necessary administrative tasks such as opening post and ensuring the contents reach the correct recipient, filing, scanning, archiving. Be vigilant and alert to the risk of fraud to the Trust. Your new role

Your new role
Reporting to the Finance Manager as Purchase Ledger Clerk, your day-to-day role will be to support the efficient and effective delivery of services within the Finance Department. This includes:

• Purchase Invoice processing - ensure all is matched between Purchase Order, Goods Received note and Purchase Invoice.

We are recruiting a team to support 2 ladies living in their own home in Sheffield (S13). You will be working alongside them in their own home and it’s important you can connect, share interests and be interested. They enjoy a range of activities at home, so if you enjoy crafting, colouring or thinking up new and exciting things to try this could be the place for you.
You should be available to work a variety of shifts across the week and alternative weekends, including some sleep-in shifts as needed.
So if you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.

Ability to commute/relocate: S13 - You must be able to reliably commute for shift start times or plan to relocate before starting work (required).

Gender is considered to be a genuine occupational requirement in accordance with paragraph 1 of Schedule 9 of the Equality Act 2010.

Affinity Trust does not presently hold a Sponsorship Licence and while this status is reviewed regularly there is no present proposal to apply for such a Licence.

We are looking for someone enthusiastic and encouraging to join our fantastic team in Sheffield. We support one lady, who lives in S11 and is very active and outgoing.

You will be working in her home, so it’s important you can connect, share interests and be interested. Our lady loves to get out into the community, enjoys swimming and is a very sociable person. If you love dogs, are good at managing a budget or just passionate about helping others, then you could be part of our team supporting people to maintain or learn new skills needed to live their best life!

If you enjoy building meaningful relationships and think you could plan, communicate and deliver support with and alongside people, then this is the place for you.

You should be available to work a variety of shifts across the week including long days, shorter shifts and alternate weekends finishing no later than 7pm. You should be comfortable with moving and handling and using a wheelchair. For this role we need you to be a driver with a full UK driving licence, have access to you own car and have business insurance (a mileage allowance will be paid).

Key Result Areas/Responsibilities: To ensure invoices are checked against the CHC database against packages of care and planned costs To proactively communicate with providers around queries on invoices submitted, and to request further appropriate backing information to validate the invoices in readiness for payment. To work in partnership with local Places and providers in formulating action plans to minimise the backlog of invoice queries. To ensure invoices are not duplicates or have already been paid. To ensure that the patient being charged for is the responsibility of the Place for whom the invoice relates. To ensure the service being charged for is the responsibility of the Place to pay. To ensure the service being charged for is consistent with the service the patient has received. To operate within the Controlled Environment for Finance ensuring strict confidentiality in respect of patient identifiable data is maintained To be responsible for working within current procedures for own working practices and to, where appropriate, implement changes to improve own working practices and procedures To deal with telephone calls and general enquiries and redirecting as appropriate ensuring all messages are passed to staff in a timely manner. To maintain efficient and up to date filing systems both manual and computerised. Data inputting, e.g. spreadsheets (Excel), Oracle (General ledger). To communicate with other members of staff, colleagues and service users across the South Yorkshire Place relevant to the role and using appropriate communications method, e.g. verbally, electronically. To participate in the PDR process to maintain and develop skills. To attend and provide support for any organisational events, seminars and training. Support the general running of the financial services section by undertaking other general admin duties eg: photocopying, printing and filing.
