What you’ll be doing:

As their Finance Assistant your responsibilities will include:

Creation and monitoring of client ledgers to ensure invoices are raised and paid
Assisting with payments of invoices to agencies
Ensuring that clients remain within their allocated budget
Dealing with enquiries from clients, their carers/agencies and the relevant Local Authorities
Maintaining client files to ensure accurate record keeping
Processing weekly payment runs in a timely manner to ensure care is not disrupted for clients
Production of reports for BACS payments
Working closely with Local Authorities to ensure contribution payments are met by the clients
Assisting with any other duties that or may arise from time to time

• The scanning and re-allocation of post received in the department
• Preparing monthly statement reconciliations
• Ensuring all account payable activities comply with relevant financial policies and procedures.
• Supplier information maintenance on company software
• Undertake other duties as directed and commensurate with the grading of the role.

Our client is looking for a finance and business administrator. In this role you will provide accurate and comprehensive financial and contracts administration. To provide an effective and efficient administration and IT support service. To co-ordinate and provide administrative assistance in the management of key strategic partnerships and projects.

Key responsibilities:

• Act as Certifying Officer, ensuring that the Local Government Financial Regulations are adhered to. • Assist with the delivery of corporate projects and government funded schemes, collaborate with service areas across the authority as required to collate data and monitor actions, ensuring that accurate demand and outcome statistics are recorded and reported, and liaise with the accountancy team to administrate the allocation of budgets and funding

You will need:

• NVQ Level 3 in Business Administration or equivalent.
• Extensive experience of working in Business Administration and managing process
• Considerable experience of financial administration
• Experience of using a variety of bespoke IT systems.
