The Post-CCT Fellow post offers an excellent opportunity to obtain clinical experience and skills in all aspects of modern fertility care. This post is suitable for doctors wishing to gain further clinical experience at consultant level in Reproductive Medicine, to further consolidate their experience.

The successful candidate should have completed CCT along with holding full GMC registration and a license to practice in the UK is required.

You will gain experience in delivering outpatient fertility clinics, undertaking egg recoveries, intrauterine inseminations and embryo transfers in theatre and holding responsibility for the day to day management of patients undergoing assisted conception treatment. On-call commitments also form a part of this role.

We are looking for a highly motivated nurse, interested in helping to improve patient treatment outcomes for patients affected by lymphoma. Research nursing is an exciting and developing role, supported through the R&I division with a good education and development package in place to ensure that staff reach their potential.

This post presents an excellent opportunity to join the establishing and Lymphoma Research team with a varied portfolio of early and late clinical trials.

Central to this role is the responsibility of assessing and managing the care pathways including the delivery of all specified treatments for participants in research within a multidisciplinary team. Key responsibilities of the post include the co-ordination of the trial protocols and support for patient affected by lymphoma.

A background in oncology, flexibility in working, excellent communication and interpersonal skills are essential. Experience in clinical research and/or haematological malignancies would be desirable.

This advert is currently for a 12-month fixed contract as a maternity cover with a view to extend at the end of the post according to staffing at the time. This will be a band 5- 6 progression post. Competencies to be achieved for progression from band 5 to 6 will be focused on research delivery in oncology. This will include training sessions and work-based assessment.

As a Clinical Research Nurse (CRN), you will be providing patient-centred insights to the research delivery team by supporting both the patients and the team through all aspects of clinical research of the Lymphoma portfolio.

You will be involved in every stage of the portfolio activities including feasibility reviews and set-up of and new trials. Patient recruitment and management is a key part of the role, including the administration of complex treatment regimes. You will be supporting team with data query resolution and reviewing protocol amendments.

You will be required to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, possess strong motivation and have the ability to work independently.

With support from the team the CRN will ensure that the safety and wellbeing of the patients is maintained within the requirement of the multi-regulatory frameworks for clinical research ensuring compliance with ICH/GCP standards and Trust SOPs.

Clinical Research Co-ordination

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

· To aseptically prepare high quality Cytotoxic/MABS/EAMS etc. in accordance with departmental procedures, Good Manufacturing Practice and COSHH regulations ensuring that all work complies with all regulatory frameworks and standards.

· Undertake daily cleaning and disinfection of the aseptic clean rooms including Isolators, according to Standard Operating Procedures.

· To be responsible for the maintenance of all stock in the Aseptic Unit including evaluating stock levels within the Aseptic Unit assisting the ordering Technician to ensure adequate stock is maintained at all times.

· Ensure all Environmental monitoring plates are received and stored in the correct manner to ensure they are protected from contamination.

· Prepare environmental samples and documentation for dispatch to QCNW.

· To be responsible for receiving and documenting Environmental Reports from QCNW and referring any variances to senior staff in a timely manner.

Education and Development:

· Undertake any mandatory training, updates and courses in line with local and Trust policies.

· To complete NVQ2 in pharmacy services if not currently in possession of this qualification

· To complete all Aseptic Services Unit competency-based training packages.

· To participate in and co-operate with, individual personal assessment, continuing professional development and continuing education programmes to develop personal competencies and knowledge base.

· When appropriate to demonstrate activities to, work experience students, pre-registration pharmacists, pharmacy technicians, student pharmacy technicians and staff undergoing induction.

Communication and Leadership

As a HCPC registered Senior Specialist Occupational Therapist based on our Neurological Rehabilitation Unit at Trafford General Hospital you will be part of a large multi-disciplinary team working on the only level 2a Neuro-Rehab unit in Greater Manchester.

You will work clinically to support the assessment and delivery of rehabilitation to our patients, and also support their discharge and complex case management.

You should have proven skills in neurological occupational therapy including

• Excellent communication skills
• Skills in acute neurological management and rehabilitation and multidisciplinary working.
• Experience of complex discharge planning within the NHS.

Strong leadership skills are essential to compliment your advanced occupational therapy knowledge and skills.

You will be required to co-ordinate and monitor the activity and caseload demands on the unit, provide evidence-based training within the MDT and support junior therapists in the team to ensure high quality care.

Are you interested in gaining experience within a busy Postgraduate and Undergraduate Education team, assisting to support, coordinate and deliver Postgraduate and Undergraduate Education for the Medical and Non-medical workforce? The posts will be based with the existing knowledgeable and supportive PG/UG Education Team led by the Postgraduate and Undergraduate Education Manager.

We are looking for an organised individual with an interest in education to support our experienced and busy team.

Your primary responsibility will be for the day-to-day administrative and operational support for the PG/UG education team in the delivery of teaching programmes for Trainees, Students, Nursing Learners, Allied Health Professionals and preceptorships. Developing and maintaining accurate records and monitoring attendances at all teaching and educational events.

To provide front of house support on medical induction days and be a point of contact for all Trainees and Students. Undertake all general administrative duties as required. Manage telephone and face to face enquiries on a daily basis.

The Education Administrator will provide a high quality of administrative support as a member of Christie Education Multi-Professional Education team. Working closely with the Senior Education Coordinator, Education Coordinators, Postgraduate Education Manager and Undergraduate Education Manager, Preceptorship Lead and the Practice Education Co-ordinators, the post holder will be required to develop effective communication approaches with staff across the organisation including medical consultants, trainees, students, nursing and allied health professionals, preceptees/preceptors, department managers, practice education leads, and learners.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



Administration & Coordination
• To be the first point of contact (telephone, direct and written) within the team. Responding to enquiries from learners, trainees, colleagues and external organisations, in a professional, timely and customer-focused manner
• Provide support for the day-to-day administration to include preparation of ID badges and IT accounts, allocations, room bookings and training sessions
• Support the Senior Education Co-ordinator, Education Coordinators and PG/UG Education Manager in contacting speakers to confirm agenda times as instructed. Collate speaker presentations, arrange inductions for students and the input of placement information onto Medlea, the university portal for students.
• Support the Education Coordinator in arranging inductions for trainees and in the input and tracking of trainee and induction information.
• Input and track the recording of all educational contributions.
• Preparation of facilitator and delegate materials.
• Secure and book suitable facilities for meetings and training sessions
• Collate and input evaluation data for training
• Provide practical support for training and induction sessions
• Identify process improvements and plan for implementation ensuring a structured plan
• Maintain contact lists for internal and external stakeholders
• To file emails and documents on the shared collaborative drive and maintain efficient file structures adhering to records management policies

Wythenshawe Hospital part of Manchester Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint committed and compassionate radiographers to join our CT Team.

The workload is varied and we do many complex scanning procedures, the department has three CT scanners covering all aspects of CT scanning. We intend to increase our interventional service and provide an increased capacity for scanning and supporting lung cancer patients with the introduction of a dedicated Lung Cancer scanning unit.

The CT department consists of a friendly team who all work on a shift pattern rota, covering seven day / 24 hour working.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate an interest in CT scanning and have some experience of working in the NHS CT environment.

The CT department at Wythenshawe is very busy and we scan a lot of patients from all areas of the hospital. You will need to work with a large team of Radiographers including Radiologists, Radiology Assistants and Interventional Nurses.

To be responsible for the operational delivery of a high quality, safe and
efficient CT imaging.
To provide supervision and training for junior Radiographers, Assistant
Practitioners, Radiographic helpers and Student Radiographers.
