Cheshire and Merseyside Adult Gender Identity Collaborative (CMAGIC) is a new NHS England pilot, establishing how Gender Incongruence can be best treated within a Primary Care setting. We are seeking a specialist nurse to support the delivery of this care and they will work closely with our MDT, local GP's, relevant partner agencies and of course directly with service users.

This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in developing not only a new service, but a new way of delivering care for a disadvantaged service user group. The role will likely involve travel, so a car user is essential.

As a member of the core EPR Project Team to be responsible for all the financial aspects of the Trust Electronic Patient Record implementation project. We are looking to recruit an EXPERIENCED B5 Dialysis Nurse who takes patient centred care to the heart of their role. If you are experienced , dedicated and proactive you will enjoy the post at our Aintree Satellite Dialysis Unit , based at Aintree Hospital. We are a LUFT dialysis centre and have 9 units across Merseyside and strive to provide excellent care and standards to our dialysis population. The unit currently has 12 stations with 3 shifts of patients per day .The unit is open Mon - Sat 0700-0000hrs with shifts that include a variation of 0700-15.30/1500-0000 and 0700-18.30hrs.

It is a Nurse Led Unit with 2 Consultant Nephrologists , and a dietician as a part of our MDT. We follow the Named Nurse Concept and all Dialysis staff have a cohort of patients to monitor and provide an Holistic approach to care.

The Trust is seeking to recruit a full-time Consultant Forensic Psychiatrist based at Rathbone Low Secure Unit in Liverpool. The service has32 male beds across two wards and provides assessment and management for patients from North and South Liverpool, South Sefton (up to Southport) and part of Kirkby. The population covered is approximately 1/3 million. The service provides low secure forensic care for detained patients with a mental disorder who present a significant risk of harm to others and cannot be managed in a non-secure environment. The service forms part of the secure services pathway within Mersey Care.

The vacancy is an established permanent post which has arisen due to retirement. The post holder will join a comprehensive MDT with good trainee medical support including a full-time substantive staff grade doctor and core trainee. There is also a full-time substantive Physician Associate. They will manage a caseload of 16 male inpatients and will maintain responsibility for the patient throughout his journey through the unit. There is a second substantive consultant who has responsibility for the other inpatients.

The post currently attracts a 10% R&R payment which will be reviewed in 2025.

The post holder will act as Responsible Clinician within a multidisciplinary team. They will lead on the management of a caseload of 16 male inpatients. This will include preadmission planning, MDT meetings, CPA reviews and discharge planning. The post will require liaison with other agencies, including the Ministry of Justice, police, probation, social care and other mental health services. They will exercise statutory responsibilities for patients detained under Restriction Orders, including completing statutory reports to the Ministry of Justice. For both non-restricted and restricted patients under their care they will be responsible for providing reports regarding Consent to Treatment and providing reports to, and attending, Tribunals and Managers’ Reviews.



The post holder will lead on the assessment of individuals referred for admission from a variety of sources including other secure services, general adult services, courts or prisons. . These are discussed at the weekly referral meeting. The postholder will participate in the panel meetings which are also held weekly and review referrals for admission to low secure and forensic step-down beds across the Merseyside and Cheshire region.



The post holder will be expected to participate in the management of the service and attend clinical team meetings and other service-related meetings as appropriate. They will also provide supervision to the junior doctors and / or Physician Associate working in the service.

Lead responsibility for the booking of referrals for outpatient and day-case appointments. endoscopic procedures both diagnostic and advanced therapeutic as per guidelines.

Where appropriate ensure appointments are made with the anti-coagulant nurse and/or dietician

The role necessitates a rotation through the lead booking areas within the office including a two week rule service, management of the outpatient pre-invest system, and recording of ward attenders.

Dealing with out-patients referrals in accordance with the Choose & Book partial booking system. Registering new patients on the hospital system (IPM) PAS and adding to appropriate waiting list.

There is also the opportunity to learn ultrasound and ECHO skills.

We are looking to recruit a B5 Dialysis Nurse who takes patient centred care to the heart of their role. If you are experienced , dedicated and proactive you will enjoy the post at our Aintree Satellite Dialysis Unit , based at Aintree Hospital. We are a LUFT dialysis centre and have 9 units across Merseyside and strive to provide excellent care and standards to our dialysis population. The unit currently has 12 stations with 3 shifts of patients per day .The unit is open Mon - Sat 0700-0000hrs with shifts that include a variation of 0700-15.30/1500-0000 and 0700-18.30hrs.

St. Paul’s Eye Unit is the largest eyecare provider in Cheshire and Merseyside delivering the full range of specialist ophthalmology services including: accident & emergency, corneal cataract and refractive surgery, diabetic eye care, glaucoma, ocular oncology, medical retinal and vitreo-retinal. The unit is also actively involved in NHS, academic and commercial research.

The post involves high volume, face to face contact with patients, including those in clinical trials/ academic research studies, to acquire clinical data through a wide range of ocular imaging procedures and other ophthalmic assessments, determined either through standard operating procedures / research protocols or ordered specifically for individual patients by clinical staff. Results are interpreted by clinical staff and inform patient management decisions.

THIS IS A FIXED TERM POST FOR 12 MONTHS
