This post supportsthe Lead Pharmacist for Anaesthetics, Critical Care and Theatres in the provision of a clinical pharmacy service to the critical care unit (approx. 50%), theatres and the surgical wards (approx. 50% combined)at this busy district general hospital. The post holder will act as a Parkinson’s Disease Nurse practitioner through strong clinical leadership andeffective management and will support primary care services within Neurology and Elderly Care Service in Maidstone & Tunbridge Wells Hospital NHS Trust and Kent Community Health Foundation NHS Trust to promote and deliver nurse excellence for adults with Parkinson’s Disease. This role requires a good level of competence, nursing expertise and evidence based clinical care and decision-making skills.

To be able to work autonomously in managing a defined caseload of adults with Parkinson’s under the supervision of Band 7 PD Nurse Specialist. A rare and exciting development opportunity has arisen for an individual to work within the haematology clinical nurse specialist team. This would suit a nurse with a special interest in haematology and stem-cell transplant/apheresis.
