The role involves providing care and support to in-patients currently experiencing acute mental health difficulties requiring an inpatient admission

Commitment to meeting the needs of people with mental health problems and valuing their rights is a pre-requisite.

You will be required to adopt a flexible working pattern and be committed to self development and training. There will be the prospect of undertaking an NVQ and Health Care Worker Certificate.

Consistently delivering a patient focused service, which promotes optimum independence.

Providing and receiving routine information orally, in writing or electronically to inform work colleagues, patients, clients, carers, the public or other external contacts.

Offering appropriate support and advice to patients and their carers.

Enabling patients to maintain and improve their independence by promoting involvement in therapeutic activity.

Giving physical health care and physical health checks as required or instructed documenting the physical health checks on the early warning scoring system (NEWS2), chart and reporting changes to the nurse/healthcare professional in charge.

We are recruiting High Intensity CBT trainees to join Croydon Talking Therapies. Postholders will spend three days a week in the service and over the other two days, they will undertake the PG Dip in CBT course at Royal Holloway University of London. There is an expectation from Royal Holloway and Croydon Talking Therapies that successful applicants will stay in their posts and complete the training which will last till early 2026.

We are a large IAPT service (Improving Access to Psychological Therapies) and currently have over 100 staff. We provide a full range of NICE recommended step 2 and 3 interventions for depression and anxiety including CBT, IPT, Counselling, and EMDR. We are looking for enthusiastic and passionate team players, committed to working for our Croydon communities, offering patient-centred, responsive and high-quality psychological health and wellbeing services.



The postholders will join the Croydon Talking Therapies service to deliver high quality cognitive-behavioural therapy to clients with depression and / or anxiety.

Postholders will be expected to see clients in GP surgeries and outpatients clinics, as well as remotely. All staff are required to work one evening per week. Successful applicants can expect to join a highly valued and motivated IAPT workforce which consists of cognitive behavioural therapists, clinical / counselling / health psychologists, counsellors, PWPs, career coaches and our admin team.

We are looking for a caring and flexible person to join our team on Marlowe. We have a full time, Band 5, Staff Nurse vacancy covering days, nights, weekends and bank holidays on a rotational basis.

Our shifts are long days (07:30-20:00), Nights (19:30-08:00),

Early (07:30-15:30) and Late (12:30-20:00).

We have many exciting learning opportunities on Marlowe, you will learn how to care for patients with renal disease and how to perform specialist treatments such as dialysis. We have a robust in- house education programme as well as practical skills training on the ward. There is also the opportunity to rotate within the renal department.


The main duties of the role include;
• Acting as the identified nurse for a group of patients by assessing, planning, implementing and evaluating their care.
• Providing personal care to patients including pressure sore prevention, toileting and catheter care.
• Taking and electronically recording patient’s vital signs and blood glucose and acting upon the results.
• Carrying out and documenting patient risk assessments and implementing measure to reduce risk and keep patients safe.
• Administering medications via various routes.
• Supporting and supervising junior members of staff in giving high standards of care.
• Liaising with the multidisciplinary team.
• Participating in planning timely and safe discharges.
By working clinically as a member of the nursing team you will work within a specialised unit based team of qualified and non-qualified staff. The post holder will be required to ensure a positive patient experience through the delivery of high standards of patient care
