Physical Demands: This work is principally sedentary but may require the employee to carry light loads or drive a motor vehicle. No special physical effort or ability is required to conduct this work. You may be expected to travel up to 5%.
Applicants selected for this position may be required to serve a one-year supervisory probationary period. Failure to successfully complete the supervisory probationary period will result in the employee being reassigned to a position in the agency of no lower grade and pay than the one the employee left to accept the supervisory or managerial position.
Major Duties:
- Responsible for planning, conducting, developing, assessing, managing and executing audits and risk assessments.
- Responsible for managing and directing audit staff through engagements and performing supervisory functions.
- Conduct broad financial and performance audit assignments requiring integrated analysis of different accounting systems as well as management programs, systems, and operations.
- Prepare and conduct audit surveys and program evaluations, which focus on specific objectives.
- Conduct survey of audit entities prior to conducting the audit. Assigns segments of the audit to team members.
- Develop audit findings that include condition, cause, effect; ensures current and adequate criteria is included to support reported conditions; and makes recommendations to address the condition root cause.
