About this opportunity

We're hiring an Integrator to International and CHAPS Lab within Payments Services Platform. The purpose of the role is to coordinate dependencies between the Lab and collaborators external to the Lab such as other labs, platforms, Group Executive Functions and 3rd parties, this may include supporting complex and high-risk implementations. The Integrator sits at Lab-or Platform-level and covers both business and technology change.

In the Payments Services Platform, our mission is to provide compliant and efficient payments capabilities for the Group and drive innovation to enable customers to move money confidently, quickly and securely. We sit within Group Chief Operating Office (GCOO) and play a critical role in providing services across the whole Group.

You'll join the International and Chaps Lab within the Payments Services Platform. The Lab's vision is to deliver the best International Payments and CHAPS solutions and services for our customer and the business, while also servicing our Legacy Currency Accounts and their transition to the strategic estate.

In this role you'll:

• Develop the sequence for integration related tasks in collaboration with the PO aligned to the Lab backlog.

• Work with partners outside of the lab to ensure interlock, enabling delivery at pace.

• Identify blockers to delivery and, where possible, mitigate/resolve, raising to product owners/lab leadership where required.

• Act as interface between the supplier (3rd Party) and key business partners.

• Manage complex and high-risk implementations requiring integration between multiple parties (internal/external) to ensure safe delivery.

• Coordinate the integration process and/or implementation events across shared infrastructure (e.g. Upgrading the Mainframe); lead on the SI process, coordinating parties to get the change over the line.

• Provide expertise (not content) for governance activity owned by the Product Owner, e.g. PRIA, for change across multiple labs.

We have an exciting opportunity for a highly experienced and talented individual to support the teams working in Theatres, Anaesthetics, HDU, Admissions and Day Case Unit (ADCU) and Pre-operative Assessment Clinic (POAC) at the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital Birmingham (ROH). Financial and Physical Resources

· To be responsible and accountable for the directorates’ budgets ensuring the optimum use of resources and establishing and maintaining effective management process to ensure financial control.

· Identify, negotiate and implement cost improvement and revenue generation opportunities in accordance with corporate policy, including engaging clinician support in delivery and impact.

· Proactively monitor financial and performance targets to ensure they are maintained, taking actions where necessary to prevent or address variances in performance.

· Be responsible for the service’s asset registers and the management of any service capital schemes.



Human Resources

· Line Manager for service-based staff.

· Lead, manage, motivate and develop staff with the services so as to effectively engage staff and maintain the highest level of staff morale and to create a climate within the services that is evidenced by high standards and openness.

· Support the Clinical Lead and others in the delivery of the annual consultant job planning process, ensuring local capacity plans are deliverable by maintaining compliant working patterns for staff recording of leave and ensuring medical staffing cover is in place.

· Ensure that the services implement national and Trust workforce initiatives.

· Work in partnership with Trade Unions, staff representatives and staff governors in developing the workforce, managing employee relations and changing working practices.

· Ensure that the directorates have in place effective arrangements for staff appraisal objective setting, mandatory training and personal development.

· Undertake appraisal for own direct reports and ensure personal development plans are identified and implemented.

· Continually review the workforce to ensure that it reflects the directorate’s service plans and priorities, implementing skill mix review, role redesign and changes to working practices making the most of potential Divisional wide efficiencies.

· Ensure effective communication and involvement arrangements exist within the directorates, engaging all groups of staff.



Patient/Client Care

· Ensure that working arrangements are in place to enable the directorate to comply with the Trust’s complaints procedure.

· To investigate complaints as appropriate under the procedure and ensure action is taken to address issues of concern and prevent reoccurrence of similar events.

· Work with the Governance Team to identify directorate risks and themes from incident reporting in order to develop robust action plans to reduce risk and improve patient experience.

· Represent the services at a corporate level and with external agencies including other service providers, patients, lead clinicians, GPs, CCG, community groups and other appropriate agencies on issues relating to service delivery and development.



Information Resources

· Update and monitor the operational policies of the directorate, in line with objectives across the Division, and take account of identified risk management needs.

· Develop systems to train and educate staff on the needs and requirements for the PAS and other information systems to be up to date and to collate, analyse and distribute data input for quality, audit and costing purposes.

AdditionalResponsibilities across the Division

· Support the Associate Director of Operations on division wide agendas as directed, and take a lead on specific crosscutting projects, working across the Trust or with external organisations.

· Provide a formal deputy role to the Associate Director of Operations at both internal and external commitments.

MAINDUTIES

Clinical
• To work on a six monthly rotational basis in the Royal Orthopaedic Hospital undertaking rotations in out-patients, gymnasium rehabilitation, hydrotherapy, orthopaedic in-patients, orthopaedic oncology and out-patient paediatrics
• To be professionally and legally accountable and responsible for all aspects of your own work, including the management of your caseload of patients within your area of rotation, without direct supervision
• To perform advanced physiotherapeutic assessment of patients with diverse and complex presentations, using manual assessment techniques, analytical skills and clinical reasoning to determine a diagnosis
• To formulate and deliver individual treatment programmes based on evidence-based practice, using clinical reasoning and a wide range of manual physiotherapy techniques. To evaluate and modify treatment plans according to assessment and patient needs, discharging them when appropriate
• To communicate effectively and gain informed consent from patients, carers and other professionals to maximise rehabilitation potential and ensure understanding of condition and/or surgery. This will, on occasions, include complex and sensitive information requiring skills of explanation, motivation and persuasion to overcome physical, emotional, mental and cultural barriers

Professional

• To be an active member of the in-service training programme, through attendance and presentation at tutorials, training and peer review sessions within the physiotherapy department
• To provide clinical experience and supervision for undergraduate physiotherapy students appropriate to your rotation
• To undertake the measurement and evaluation of work and current practices through the use of evidence-based practice, audit and outcome measures, either individually or with more senior physiotherapists
• To demonstrate a sound understanding of Clinical Governance and Risk Management and apply to work situation, following department and Trust Policies.

Organisational and Managerial
• To deputise for the Team Leader in their absence, taking responsibility for daily team management, allocating and organising the work of staff to meet service priorities on a daily basis
• To maintain high professional standards with respect to patients, colleagues, the service and the environment. Encourage staff under your supervision to follow your example
• Liaise with senior staff as appropriate, with all issues relevant to service delivery and development
• To be responsible for the safe and competent use of equipment within your current area of practice by patients, colleagues and student physiotherapists through teaching and supervision
• To comply with all Health and Safety standards of the Department and the Trust, including prompt reporting of accidents and incidents and ensuring that equipment usage is safe
