Your new role

This post is a 12 month maternity cover, processing the purchase ledger for this busy organisation. You will be coding invoices onto the account system, liaising with suppliers, reconciling monthly supplier statements and processing staff expenses. You will also be assisting with internal audit and payroll but no experience in this is required.

What you'll need to succeed

• 2 years finance experience, to include purchase ledger
• GCSE Maths and English
• Accuracy with work
• Excellent communication and people skills
• Confident working independently without supervision
• Full UK driver's license and access to vehicle

I am currently working on behalf of one of Belfast's leading employers, a global professional services firm based in the City Centre to recruit a Credit Controller to join their established team. Your new role
Working within an established team you will be responsible for:

• Liaise with In-Market Finance staff, partners, management, and other staff as appropriate to ensure that all receivables are followed up promptly per the Firm's standardised best practice, including discussing current and future issues that may delay or prevent payment of invoices
• Minimise risks surrounding long outstanding debts to avoid write-downs, write-offs, and bad debts
• Liaise with Client Support teams responsible for Global Key Client relationships
• Carry out approved credit adjustments, write-downs, and write-offs
• Liaise with the Cash Management team about the allocation of cash against invoices

What you'll need to succeed
Candidates should be able to demonstrate experience within a similar position along with a general understanding of accounting or finance principles. Applicants should be able to demonstrate that they possess keen attention to detail and effective organisational skills along with excellent communication skills (verbal and written).
