The General Surgical department at Northern Lincolnshire and Goole NHS Foundation Trust provides a variety of services across the Trust sites including General Surgery, Upper GI surgery, and Colorectal Surgery.

An opportunity exists for an enthusiastic surgeon seeking an opportunity to join the General Surgical, Upper GI and Colorectal Surgical team for a permanent appointment. This post does include an on-call commitment.

The department serves a population of 210,000 for General Surgery, comprising of list cases, endoscopy sessions, emergencies and outpatient clinics.

The department is extremely busy and the person appointed will take part in regular operating and outpatient sessions as well as having ward duties.

The Head of Place is a senior leadership role with the accountability for the delivery of safe, effective and integrated care for alL CWPT delivered Mental Health services for a significant, but discrete population. Patient flow is one of the cornerstones of the Trust commitment to our patients. Effective administration provides the ability to ensure the patient is the focus of the activity and ensures a successful and valuable journey from referral to discharge for all patients. The patient services team provides a varied support to the clinical Divisions in the form of a validation service ensuring routine and ad hoc validation is completed, monitoring and escalation of processes and services is completed as required, a service of registering referrals as soon as they are received into the Trust, a service of ensuring expedited patients are managed appropriately.

This role will work in conjunction with the patient access team leaders to ensure each of the elements of this role are managed, allocated and prioritised to suit the needs of the patient and the service.

Working as part of an effective team having the ability to communicate complex data around the validation rules to staff of all grades and disciplines, taking into account any barriers to understanding and differing levels of participation.
• Excellent knowledge of the 18 week rule suite, associated guidelines and local Trust Access Policy
• Monitor eRS worklists, and work with the Patient Access Activity Co-ordinator to ensure escalation is carried out when required following agreed escalation processes

• Takes a lead in proactively engaging with existing customers and prospects by providing needs-based assessments to grow loyalty and identify immediate / future opportunities.
• Engages customers to complete needs assessments that identify financial solutions and preferred banking channels while recommending tailored solutions addressing both sales and service needs (e.g. everyday banking, retail investments, lending solutions, home financing (including business-for-self applications)), and small business solutions).
• Offers clients advice and guidance on available digital and self-serve options with the goal of making banking easy, simple, and fast.
• Supports customer transactions needs based on customer traffic.
• Engages customers to grow BMO’s business by reaching out, generating appointments, and building new relationships within the community.
• Addresses questions and resolves issues raised through consumer credit audits and quality checks to ensure accurate data entry and lending application recommendations in compliance with legal and regulatory requirements and lending policies and processes.
• Applies the risk management framework to the portfolio to protect the Bank's assets and maintain the quality of the lending portfolio in compliance with requirements for the lending process and established yield, quality, diversification, and risk guidelines.
• Makes credit recommendations for personal lending transactions, including home financing, in accordance with sound credit granting principles and with the Bank’s policies and procedures.
• Acts as a key member of a collaborative and versatile branch and market team.
• Probes to understand customer personal banking and credit card needs and integrates marketing promotions and programs into customer conversations to provide strategic advice.
• Organizes work information to ensure accuracy and completeness.

  Qualifications:

• Typically between 2 - 3 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study desirable or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Canada only: Registration to sell investment products completed - as appropriate for the jurisdiction.
• Appropriate lending qualifications and designations.
• Working knowledge of personal and small business customer needs and solutions.
• Working knowledge of retail investments and lending products.
• Experience in financial services is an asset.
