About the Role:

• Responsible to oversee and manage relationships with technology vendors and ensure their effective contribution to the bank’s digital and technology operations and strategic objectives.
• The role includes monitoring vendor performance, tracking service levels, and resolving issues or conflicts that may arise.
• There are also needs to collaborate with internal teams to conduct vendor assessments, evaluate risks, and implement strategies for vendor optimization and cost reduction.

What You'll Do:

• Assess and manage vendor-related risks, including vendor performance risks, contractual risks, cybersecurity risks, and regulatory compliance risks. Establish risk management processes and mitigation strategies. Monitor vendor compliance with relevant regulations, data privacy, and security standards. Conduct vendor audits and assessments as needed.
• Develop and maintain positive and collaborative relationships with technology vendors. Serve as the primary point of contact for vendor-related inquiries, escalations, and issue resolution. Foster strong vendor partnerships based on open communication, mutual trust, and alignment of objectives.
• Identify opportunities for collaboration and innovation with technology vendors. Encourage continuous improvement and value-add initiatives from vendors. Work closely with vendors to explore emerging technologies, market trends, and best practices. Facilitate vendor presentations, demonstrations, and knowledge sharing sessions.
• Track and manage technology vendor-related budgets, expenses, and invoices. Review and approve vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance. Conduct cost optimization analyses and negotiate pricing with vendors to achieve cost savings and efficiencies.
• Maintain inventory of technology vendors, contracts, and key vendor-related information. Regularly assess the vendor portfolio and vendor consolidation opportunities. Identify opportunities for strategic vendor partnerships, vendor rationalization, and vendor performance enhancement.
• Identify areas for process improvement within the vendor management function. Develop and implement standardized vendor management processes, templates, and tools. Drive initiatives to streamline vendor onboarding, vendor performance tracking, and vendor relationship management.

What We're Seeking:

• Experience in negotiating and managing contracts with technology vendors is highly desirable.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of procurement processes, vendor selection, and negotiation strategies is necessary. Familiar with sourcing strategies, request for proposals (RFP) processes, supplier evaluation, and performance monitoring.
• Experience in managing vendor relationships and ensuring compliance with contractual obligations.
• In-depth knowledge and understanding of vendor management principles, best practices, and methodologies is necessary. Familiar with vendor selection processes, contract negotiations, performance monitoring, and relationship management. Significant experience in conducting vendor assessments, evaluating vendor capabilities, and assessing vendor risks
• Solid understanding of technology products, services, and industry trends. Familiar with a wide range of technology solutions, such as software licenses, hardware procurement, cloud services, and professional services engagements. Stay updated with emerging technologies and their potential impact on procurement strategies.
• Proficiency in conducting supplier evaluations, analyzing supplier capabilities, and assessing supplier risks is important. IT Vendor Management Leads should have experience in evaluating proposals, conducting due diligence, and selecting vendors that align with the organization's needs and strategic objectives. They should possess strong negotiation skills to secure favorable contract terms and pricing.
• Excellent relationship management and communication skills are vital for this role. Able to build and maintain positive relationships with technology vendors, establish effective communication channels, and resolve issues or conflicts in a collaborative manner. Competent in managing stakeholder expectations and influencing decision-making related to vendor management.
• Proficiency in data analysis, financial analysis, and cost management is necessary. Able to analyze vendor performance metrics, evaluate total cost of ownership, and identify opportunities for cost optimization and value generation.
• Possess strong financial acumen to manage vendor contracts within budgetary constraints.

About the Role:

• Our first line technology compliance team and responsible for the effectiveness of controls based regulatory requirements, policies, standards and processes from a technology standpoint for our digital bank.

What You'll Do:

• Implement Key Risk and Control Indicators (KRIs/KCIs) to actively monitor and track non-compliance. Escalate and track to closure identified non-compliances.
• Develop and maintain relevant technology policies, standards and procedures to meet regulatory and corporate compliance requirements.
• Continuously monitor, track and ensure closure of technology and cyber security events, requests and submissions from generated tools, systems and users. Conduct regular effectiveness testing of technology controls.
• Track identified gaps and ensure that remediation meet internal compliance requirements or industry best practices.
• Communicate regularly with business users and other lines of defense (within the enterprise risk framework) to better understand latest technology compliance requirements
• Collaborate to manage internal risk acceptances raised and corrective risk remediation plan
• Support internal and external technology audits, and ensure timely audit and compliance reporting.

What We're Seeking:

• Familiar the latest Information Security principles, techniques, protocols and other industry IT governance standard best practices (e.g. ISO27001, NIST, ITIL, PCI-DSS).
• Preferably with one or more related certification in the areas of Technology Risk / Information Security – CRISC, CISM, CISA, CGEIT or equivalent.
• Knowledge of banking products and services and their supporting technology systems/platforms, with familiarity of front to back-office processes desired.
• Well-versed and solid have work experience related to BNM regulatory frameworks including policy documents on Risk Management in Technology, Outsourcing, Business Continuity Management, Management of Customer Information and Permitted Disclosures amongst others.
• Individual contributor who is delivery focused and possesses interpersonal skills, team player, have strategic thinking and encompassing the ability to build strategic collaborations.

Job Description:

The Data Protection Lead will assist the Chief Information Security Officer to establish and maintain robust governance and oversight over data protection. In this role, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the way we handle, govern, and enhance our data assets, and comply with data protection laws and regulations.

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with the development, review, update and/or implementation of data protection-related framework, policy, guideline and/or initiative(s) to facilitate effective risk management and governance over data risk and data protection.
• Review and assess the extent of compliance with internal policies, guidelines, data protection laws and regulatory requirements.
• Conduct Privacy Impact Assessments (PIAs) to ensure that Personally Identifiable Information (PII) is appropriately protected, and recommend mitigation actions to address vulnerabilities, if any.
• Advise Business Units and Functional Units to embed data privacy considerations and/or control measures into the design and implementation of new products, services and processes.
• Provide advisory, guidance and challenge to Business Units and Functional Units in their management of data risks to achieve their business objectives and within the organization’s risk appetite.
• Investigate and report on incidents of data breaches or non-compliance, as required.
• Assist with the development and/or review of incident response procedures to address data breach incidents, including notification to internal stakeholders and relevant authorities, as required.
• Work with Senior Management and stakeholders to ensure that the organization has and maintains appropriate data privacy and confidentiality documentation.
• Work with Senior Management and stakeholders to ensure awareness of best practices relating to data privacy and data security, fostering data risk awareness and security-conscious culture.
• Coordinate with the Cyber Security and Technology teams to ensure alignment between cyber security and data privacy practices.
• Establish relevant Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and metrics to monitor and measure data risk exposures.
• Prepare and present data risk reports to Senior Management and relevant committees, highlighting key findings, recommendations, trends and/or non-compliance with applicable data protection regulations.
• Respond to enquiries and audits (i.e. internal, external, regulatory and relevant authorities) pertaining to data protection.
• Provide regulatory compliance support, guidance and advice to Business Units and Functional Units regarding regulatory changes and updates, where relevant and required.
• Stay abreast of emerging technology trends, data protection laws, and regulatory developments to proactively address potential risks, and assist the Senior Management (and/or Board) understand potential concerns or risks that might impact the organization.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in law, Information Technology, Data Science or a related field.
• Minimum of 12 years’ experience in any of these disciplines: data protection, information security, risk management or compliance in related areas.
• Professional certification such as CDPSE, CISSP, CISA, CISM or CRISC would be advantageous.
• Sound knowledge in regulatory requirements around technology risk (e.g. BNM’s Risk Management in Technology, Guidelines on Data Management and MIS Framework) and data protection laws (e.g. PDPA).
• Knowledge of data management principles and concepts would be desirable.
• Possess strong verbal and written communication skills, and capable of engaging senior stakeholders.
• Clear analytical thought process and good understanding of emerging technological developments and risk management frameworks.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects.
• Detail-oriented with a strong sense of ethics and integrity.
