This post requires the candidates to have extensive Endoscopy experience. They must hold either the ENB 906 or Endoscopy and related procedure course or equivalent experience, hold a teaching and accessing qualification or mentorship and be able to insert cannulas and give IV’s. They must be willing to undertake instruction on insertion of gastrostomy tubes and be able to lead a team.

This post holder will be responsible for the overall provision of the cleaning services at one of our acute hospital sites

Adjust work schedules to reflect the service changes, and compile and update work schedules on an ongoing basis.

Develop staff rotas to ensure effective service delivery.
Manage staff absences in line with Trust policies

Ensure the efficient and effective use of resources within budget, developing and implementing systems to monitor and control resources.
Ensure quality control systems are implemented, and regularly participate in the monitoring, to ensure the provision of effective services to all users
To be involved in problem solving and the handling of conflicts
To implement policies to meet legal, statutory, mandatory requirements concerning the management of COSHH, health and safety, control of infection and all other relevant current and future legislation affecting services within the remit of this post

To participate in the recruitment, retention of staff and to continually review the existing
practices to maintain value for money and the agreed performance.
Responsible for arranging work rotas, approving annual leave, maintaining sickness and absence records and reviewing prepared payroll documentation.

Motivates and communicates, creating a team from a group of people, through decisions on pay, placement, promotion, and through communications with the team on various initiatives and focus areas.

We operate two busy general hospitals, Epsom Hospital and St Helier Hospital, and run services from other locations, including Sutton Hospital. St Helier Hospital is home to the South West Thames Renal and Transplantation Unit and Queen Mary's Hospital for Children, while Epsom Hospital is home to the South West London Elective Orthopaedic Centre (SWLEOC). Both Epsom and St Helier hospitals have Accident and Emergency departments (A&E) and Maternity services (Obstetrics).

Prospect Unit is one of five wards at our state of the art, purpose built Atherleigh Park Hospital in Leigh. Prospect Unit is a 16 bedded all male acute unit providing support to adults of working age. Prospect Unit provides assessment, treatment and support to service users within the GM footprint who may be experiencing mental health difficulties for a range of illnesses such as Schizophrenia, Bi-Polar Disorder and Depression and Anxiety. 
We are looking for enthusiastic, motivated and compassionate individuals who; have a positive attitude towards mental health and promoting recovery, have an understanding of positive behavioural support, are committed to delivering person centred & trauma informed care and want to support working age adults in their recovery.

Deputy Ward Managers at Atherleigh park are active members of the ward management team, responsible for supporting the Ward Manager in the operational management and leadership of the Ward. 

As a Deputy Ward Manager, your responsibilities will be;
• Up hold the values of the ward promoting openness, transparency and learning
• Supervision of junior staff
• Enthusiastic mentor to new staff, newly qualified nurses and junior staff
• Oversee certain areas of clinical expertise such as medication management and physical health provision on the ward
• Support the Ward Manager with HR tasks such as return to works and sickness monitoring
• Accurate and timely clinical documentation
• Manage shifts as a nurse in charge
• Conducting thorough assessments of risks and risk management plans to support incidents on the ward
