The Estates & Facilities Management team are looking to appoint an experienced Building Services Manager who can confidently communicate with our stakeholders and lead on the delivery of building services to our academy partners.

Offers are based on the candidate’s experience and geographic location, and may exceed this range. NIE invites applicants for the position of Assistant Head (Research) in the Finance Department. This is a 3-year contract position.

Responsibilities

Reporting to Head/Finance, you will be responsible for the following functions:

• Administration of Research grant and projects of NIE.

• Administration of the financial project (WBS) modules in SAP and Research management system.

• Collaborate with internal stakeholders and management on budgets, reporting, outlook and cashflow.

• Collaborate with external funders and external auditors on grant matters.

• Identify and implement opportunities for continuous improvements to enhance the financial management processes and procedures; through streamlining and automation.

• Provide financial advice to internal stakeholders.

• Supervision of staff.

Requirements

• A University Degree in Accountancy or in Accounting major.

• At least 5 years of accounting and managerial experience.

• Must be a member of the ISCA (The Institute of Singapore Chartered Accountants).

• Strong interpersonal, organizational, communication and writing skills.

• Strong conceptualization and analytical skills.

• Highly Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.

• Self-motivated, able to work independently and as a team player.

• Knowledge of SAP Hana S4 and SAP Concur would be an advantage.

We are looking for a highly motivated and dynamic person to join the corporate team at East Sussex Healthcare NHS Trust (ESHT), leading the Emergency Preparedness, Resilience and Response (EPRR) Team. The Head of EPRR will be an important member of the Corporate Management Team, reporting to the Chief Operating Officer & Deputy Chief Operating Officer.

The successful candidate will be an experienced and highly capable EPRR manager. The role involves all aspects of leading, coordinating and developing the Trust’s EPRR agenda. The post-holder will ensure that the Trust fully meets its obligations under the Civil Contingencies Act 2004 and the Health & Social care Act 2012, to co-ordinate all aspects of major incident and business continuity planning that are incumbent upon the Trust and the wider community.

The role will involve co-ordinating and embedding the Trust’s emergency response, business continuity, recovery plans and associated processes in line with the Civil Contingencies Act and NHSE core standards.

To manage and coordinate the development and delivery of all service business continuity plans and specific training requirements for the Trust.

Although the role is based at the Conquest Hospital, the role does require the Head of EPRR to be available to work at any of the sites across ESHT, such as Eastbourne DGH, Rye and Bexhill hospitals.

To co-ordinate, support, and advise the Trust in respect of emergency preparedness, business continuity and resilience matters, in liaison with relevant external partners including, but not restricted to the ICB, Health Protection Agency, Local Authority, NHSE/I, Partner and neighbouring organisations and to co-ordinate all aspects of major incident and business continuity planning that are incumbent upon the Trust and the wider community.

To ensure continual development of Trust's capability to respond to incidents.

• Major incident plans
• Major incident policy
• Performance/development/evaluation plans
• Business continuity arrangements
• Training needs analysis and supporting Matrix
• Robust annual plans
