What You Will Do:

The energy transition requires trillions of dollars of investment to fund clean energy generation, energy storage, transmission, and grid upgrades, EV charging, building decarbonization, and more.  Financing these projects is critical priority for national, federal, state, and local organizations. You will work with public sector institutions to help ensure that capital is deployed wisely and ensure that risks are appropriately assessed and compensated.  

Key responsibilities include: 

• Performing project and/or corporate finance due diligence and analysis on projects in the clean energy and mobility sectors to assess their financial feasibility and risk with respect to financial performance, operation, management, governance, and legal, and achievement of expected financial outcome.

• Evaluating project business plans for reasonableness and confirming that the plan’s financing requirements, structure, and funding plan are reasonable and consistent with industry norms.

• Reviewing financial and commercial elements and structure of contractual arrangements (e.g. Offtake, EPC, O&M, Input etc.) and confirming they are reasonable and consistent with industry norms.

• Confirming that financial data, forecasts, and assumptions in the business plan align with key contractual terms and they are reasonable and accurately reflected in the project financial model.

• Identifying and assessing project risks and advising on mitigation strategies

• Working collaboratively with market and technical advisors to advance client objectives

• Assisting the client in loan negotiations by evaluating financial impacts of terms under negotiation and advising on mitigation strategies.

• Assisting the client with preparation and review of credit approval documents, including risk and recovery matrices and Credit Committee and/or Board Presentations.

• Reviewing financial terms in loan documents and confirming they are consistent with the term sheet, financial model, contracts etc. and advising the client as appropriate.

• Supporting the client during the monitoring phase on changes in external and/or internal factors evaluated during the underwriting phase and advising on appropriate mitigation strategies.

• Building and maintaining relationships with clients

• Supporting the development of team capacity through coaching and development

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor's degree in finance, business, or other relevant field

• 3-5 years experience with financial advisory, infrastructure finance, or project finance

• Experience with building or analyzing financial models, analyzing creditworthiness of potential projects or their sponsors,

• Adaptability and desire to learn a variety of sectors

• Fluency in English

• Ability to travel as needed

Responsibilities

• Work with Align team members to prepare written and oral responses to requests for solicited as well as unsolicited proposals

• Lead due diligence on prospective commercial real estate and social infrastructure investments with a lens to both debt and equity capital stacks; real estate market fundamentals; state and local property tax legislation; as well as Federal financing programs

• Create and update financial models that capture a variety of capital structures; including both taxable and tax-exempt financial structures for a Project

• Engage with third parties such as conduit issuers, underwriters, lenders, rating agencies, and legal advisors to achieve an optimal project financing structure

• Assist in the review and management of all relevant Project contracts and documents related to finance requirements

• Write investment memorandums summarizing the key macroeconomic assumptions of each Project

• Regularly track deal activity in the P3 market

Basic Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from a top-tier university with coursework in Business Administration, Accounting, Finance and/or Economics

• 2-5 years of relevant work experience at an Investment Bank, Commercial Bank, Private Equity firm, Public Private Partnership development firm; Financial Advisory Firm, Consulting firm, or Non-Profit developer

• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and priorities to conclusion within agreed upon deadlines

• Demonstrated ability to work independently; take initiative with work with minimal supervision

About the role:

The Application Security Testing Engineer reports to the Senior Manager and assists with the security testing activities for BMO based applications. What will you do:

• Subject Matter Expertise - Provides technical leadership to business areas as a Security Testing subject matter expert. Assists with efforts on the execution of security testing operations to include pre-engagement (scoping), engagement (testing) and post-engagement activities (reporting).
• Secure Testing - Assists in delivery of security testing projects according to a structured process, to include writing test reports. This may include oversight and/or execution of the configuration and deployment of security testing software and application of results to security analysis.
• Information Security Risk Management - Works with leadership to mature security testing team capabilities including reporting and remediation guidance in alignment with local and global regulatory requirements. Identifies security gaps and deficiencies by conducting risk assessments; able to recommend corrective action of identified vulnerabilities and weaknesses. Assists with the execution of planning, testing, tracking, and advises on necessary risk acceptance for identified security risks. 
• Secure Application Development - Assists with the execution of highly technical/analytical security assessments of custom web applications, mid-tier application services, backend mainframe applications and databases, including manual, custom and industry known attack methods using a risk-based intelligence-led methodology. Identifies potential misuse scenarios. Advises on secure development practices.

What you need to succeed:

• Typically between 5 - 7 years of relevant experience and a post-secondary degree in Computer Science or Information Systems or a related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience in testing web applications, APIs, mobile applications to identify vulnerabilities and weaknesses.
• Hands-on experience with dynamic application security (DAST) tools such as Burp Suite, OWASP ZAP, etc. Hands-on experience with static source code analysis (SAST) tools.
• Knowledge of coding languages (e.g. C#, JAVA, JavaScript, TypeScript, Python etc.) and can code with little oversight
• Knowledge of different rapid development processes, e.g. Waterfall, Agile, etc.
• Knowledge of coding vulnerabilities, frameworks, patching processes, Information Security risk and industry best practices, defense concepts, risk-based assessment approach
• Knowledge of OWASP Top 10, and the OWASP Testing Guide or other secure coding frameworks, NIST Cyber Security Framework (CSF)
• Understands the principles of secure coding techniques and secure code reviews, code scanning software and vulnerability code scanning processes, network protocols and connectivity.
• Industry certification is an asset - CISSP, CISSLP, CCSK, GIAC etc.
• Experience working in an Agile development environment, and ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

• Prepares customer notifications and billings, and processes services and transactions including (but not limited to) loan advances/payments, wire transfers, billing for principal/interest/fees, monitoring collateral positions, financial exceptions, etc.
• Executes and manages documentation to ensure that records are maintained in a proper manner.
• Analyzes data and information to provide insights and recommendations.

  Qualifications:

• Typically between 4 - 6 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

What You Will Do:
Senior Consultants have responsibility for client management, solution implementation and generation of project results. You will own project workstreams and interact with the client daily to ensure engagement success. This includes supporting day-to-day operational meetings with client sponsors and consulting leaders. Senior Consultants are expected to prepare and communicate well-organized, effective reports and presentations to client and internal executives. You will lead, coach and mentor consultants and ensure quality deliverables.

What You Will Need:

• Bachelor’s degree
• CPA license or current CPA license candidate who possesses the educational requirements to obtain a CPA license in the State of their home office
