We are seeking a highly organised and efficient Personal Assistant to join our team and support the Service Manager for Performance and Patient Flow and the Associate Director of Children in Young People Mental Health Services (CYPMH/ CAMHS). Your contribution will be instrumental in delivering a new integrated Thrive model, a transformative initiative that will revolutionise the CYPMH service and transform the lives of young people.
Role Overview:
As a Personal Assistant within our dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in supporting our senior management in delivering efficient and effective services. Your role will involve comprehensive administrative support, managing complex diaries, organising meetings, and handling confidential correspondence. You will be the key point of contact for both internal and external stakeholders, playing a crucial part in facilitating smooth communication and operations within our services.
The PA must be able to act as an effective ‘gatekeeper’ and must therefore have excellent negotiation, diplomacy and interpersonal skills. The post holder will have knowledge of all the relevant administrative and secretarial procedures applicable to this role as well as the ability to deal with non-routine activities that arise. Problem solving is an integral part of the role.
The role will involve contact on a daily basis with a wide range of people – both internal and external to the organisation and therefore requires a confident approach. The post holder will need to be a team player and a ‘completer-finisher’, with very strong communication skills and an eye for detail.
The post holder is expected to manage their own workload and work flexibly in support of the wider PA service and network management team if required. The post holder must be capable of working on his/her own initiative, whilst maintaining a high level of confidentiality and discretion at all times.
• Provide comprehensive administrative and secretarial support to the Service Manager and Associate Director.
• Manage and prioritise complex diaries, ensuring efficient scheduling of meetings, appointments, and travel arrangements.
• Prepare and distribute documents, reports, and presentations for key meetings and events.
• Act as a liaison between the senior management and other staff members, external partners, and stakeholders.

Specialist provision comprises inpatient child and adolescent mental health services, perinatal mental health and forensic services including low and medium secure care.
