Maintenance, design and manufacture.

The Anaesthetic Directorate is led by a team supporting the perioperative model recommended by the Royal College of Anaesthetists. This comprises a Clinical Director and Associate Clinical Directors for Perioperative, Elective, Emergency and Workforce..

Welcome to our Vascular Specialist Nurse Team!

Lancashire Teaching hospital is designated as one of the major vascular centres in the country. The agreed footprint of services is a ‘hub and spoke’ arrangement with the hub being based at Preston. We offer support to patients with vascular conditions covering a population of 1.5 million people from Barrow, Kendal, Lancaster, Blackpool, Preston/Chorley and Wigan providing both outpatient clinics and surgery across this area.

This is an excellent opportunity to join the Vascular team at Royal Preston hospital. We have a vacancy for a highly motivated Band 3 Vascular Assessment Unit Assistant at 37.5 hours (5 days per week) and are seeking individuals who would like to expand their knowledge in vascular services or develop new skills. The post involves supporting the vascular nurse specialist team in the daily running of their nurse-led clinics and when reviewing inpatients. The role involves both administrative and clinical duties.

• Provide direct secretarial and administration support to the Divisional management Team and the wider team.

Due to the evolving needs of our service a new role has been created for a mobile administrator to cover the Children’s Therapy Service (CTS)Central and West Locality. You will support all three therapy teams of Children’s; Speech and Langauge Therapy, Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy.You will be initially based at Leyland House, Lancashire Business Park, Leyland and cover reception at Adlington Clinic, Railways Road, Adlington when required. The needs of the service will dictate your base however, you will be given your place of work on a Rota basis. You will have free parking in close proximity of each site.

Our service provides vital care for children needing support. CTS plays pivotal role in a child’s development and well being. You will be the first point of contact for care givers and professionals who refer into the service.

With a demanding workload in a busy office environment your duties will include but not be limited toadministration tasks including; booking appointments electronically, taking calls processing reports, liaising with the clinical teams,coordinate activities to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided.

The post holder will provide a comprehensive administration and information service across the Children and Young People’s Network, coordinating their activities with other members of the Business Administration Team to ensure an efficient and confidential service is provided.

The post holder will be aligned to a specific team and is required to work flexibly in response to the needs of the Networks administrative service providing cover to departments on various sites as directed by their administration line manager to ensure continuity of a quality service provision.
