You will be responsible for providing support to the Logistics function by undertaking general office and store/warehouse duties, maintaining records, storing and securing stocks, and, when necessary, delivering goods to ensure that an effective and efficient supply chain and logistics service is maintained to all areas of the Trust.

You will provide assistance in the form of order and requisition processing and data input and will also provide support to the Stores Officer and Manager in the day-to-day administrative running of the stores, liaising with personnel within the Trust and suppliers to the Trust.

You will have good knowledge of Microsoft Office computer packages and hold a good standard of education, together with excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Previous stores/warehouse experience would be an advantage, as would a knowledge of medical equipment, consumables and transportation of medicines.

The ability to work unsupervised and to organise your workload to meet deadlines is also a vital requirement of this role. There will be a requirement to be adaptable in responding to logistical challenges relating to the supply of medicines, consumables and personal protective equipment as required.

You will need to have a full C1 driving licence.

Individuals are referred for rehabilitation following an acute worsening in their health such as infection, an acute hospital admission following illness or surgery, a fall or an adjustment of complex medication.

Clinical Data Assistant

We are looking for a reliable and conscientious person, with an aptitude for thoroughness and accuracy, to fill the highly valued role of a Pharmacy Assistant. The successful candidate will be a member of a friendly and supportive pharmacy team and will be based at the pharmacy department in Crawley Hospital but there is some flexibility to be based elsewhere in East Sussex.

As we are a Community Trust, the ability to travel between our different sites is essential. The role will be based in Crawley for 3 days and 2 days will be spent travelling between the East Sussex units and this gives the role a nice variety. The units in East Sussex are located in Crowborough, Uckfield, Lewes, Haywards Heath and Hove. Travel, if using your own car, is paid for to and from the base location or there is access to a trust pool car in Brighton General Hospital.

Main duties include:
• General distribution activities including ward-based top up of medicines
• Support and administrative duties including helping to manage medicines stock
• Dispensing medicines for patients
• Assisting with purchasing of medicines and with the receipt of medicine deliveries.

The successful candidate will be a member of a friendly and supportive pharmacy team and will be based at the pharmacy department in Crawley Hospital but there is some flexibility to be based elsewhere in East Sussex. They must have 5 GCSEs (pass level C/4 or above or equivalent including Maths and English) and knowledge or experience to NVQ2 or equivalent level. The opportunity to gain a pharmacy qualification may be available to a suitable candidate. Previous pharmacy experience is desirable but not essential.

Good communication and organisational skills are important, along with the ability to work both on your own initiative as well as part of a team. Working in our team is a great opportunity to learn new skills and to gain well-rounded experience in Pharmacy.
