• To support and lead recruitment of International Educated Midwives (IEM).
• To provide pastoral care and offer support to the internationally educated midwives (IEM) within the Trust.
• Play a key role in supporting the orientation of international midwives during the initial arrivals and lead on induction to the clinical area.
• Be a central contact for the midwives to seek signposting for support on a variety of areas such as wellbeing, accommodation, amenities, local community contacts and their spiritual care.
• Act as a supportive link between the midwives and the designated ward areas to ensure a smooth supportive induction period.
• Ensuring the designated ward areas have identified a mentor to facilitate support and ensure a buddy system is in place.
• Form good working relations with key team members and wider organisational colleagues to enable quality pastoral support provision including the Recruitment and Retention Midwife, Pastoral Support Lead Midwife, Practice Development team and CPF.
