The following positions are available -

3 x Band 2 - for 37.5 hours per week.

N.B. - With the right experience or with training and completion of skills and competencies you may rise to Band 3.

The hours are 8am to 4pm and 9am to 5pm on a rota basis. You may be expected to work 12pm - 8pm. Whilst training is taking place, the hours will be 9-5 pm Monday to Friday.

Duties include:

· Operating a telephone booking system, to book outpatient appointments for a wide range of specialties across the Trust, many of them to government guidelines and timescales

· Use of call centre software and reminder service software

· Day-to-day operational management of the national eReferral system to book, rearrange and manage referrals

· Accurate collection and recording of data on several systems

· Adding, removing and booking patients from waiting lists where appropriate



We are a team of 70 staff which comprises of Booking Clerks, Senior Booking Clerks, Supervisors, DOS Co-Ordinator's, Deputy Manager, Manager and Head of Booking.

We work to strict deadlines and have to adhere to tight timescales, working in a demanding environment.

MAIN DUTIES

1. Responsible for timely, accurate electronic recording of referrals/requests sent via post, , booking centre app, e-mail, eReferral System or self-referral. Registering details on Cerner in a timely manner and checking for duplication of referrals. Liaise with the appropriate departments/external stakeholder for missing information or queries and ensure referrals have been allocated to the correct specialty and clinician.

2. Liaise with and support GP, optometry and GPwSI staff in both the referral process and management of patients following referral.

3.Book appointments for primary community, intermediary care and secondary care providers using a variety of complex electronic schedulers and detailed processes.

4. Responsible for processing the referral in accordance with the outcome of clinical triage, following a variety of detailed procedures which vary dependent on which is the most appropriate clinical setting for the condition (primary community, intermediary or secondary care). This involves locating relevant data from one system and accurately transferring and recording the detail in other electronic systems (eg Cerner, Summary Care Cancer database and Booking Centre app).

5. For triage outcomes that are for secondary care, offer unambiguous informed Choice of all secondary care providers visible on the eReferral System to the patient (adhering to government national choice guidelines) agree date with patient, book into directly bookable service on eReferral or add to the waiting list.

6. Act as 2-week rule/Fast Track Co-ordinator, checking referral is booked into same service as indicated on the referral letter.

7. Be responsible for checking correct dates and tumour site have migrated through to Summary Care Cancer database for 2-week rule referrals.

8. Ensure all inappropriately categorised or delayed 2 week rule and other Fast Track referrals are reported to the relevant Manager.

9. Operate an “opt in” process for patients who cannot be contacted by telephone, following a similar process to partial booking methodology, discharging patients who have not replied after a certain period and informing the referrer of the outcome.

10. Deal with incoming and outgoing telephone calls, providing a quality telephone service for patients, GP surgeries and other stakeholders and be able to utilise the Booking Centre telephony system to its full potential.

11. Provide a responsive and patient-friendly service that supports patients through the NHS referral and booking processes.

12. Communicate with patients appropriately, including those who are deaf and for those whom English is not their first language. Organise as and when required the attendance of interpreter/link workers/signers or National Interpreting Service for patients attending clinics, by following Trust guidelines currently via an electronic booking system – eg DA Languages.

13. Use the minicom console to liaise with deaf patients and patients with hearing problems.

14. Responsible for registering and/or linking on Cerner all follow-up appointments to the correct 18 week pathway to ensure referral to treatment data is recorded correctly.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Senior Clinical Psychologist (or a newly qualified psychologist interested in a preceptorship role) to join one of the Complex Community Care Teams based at East Lancashire Child and Adolescent Service (ELCAS), Burnley General Hospital. The Complex Community Care Teams are innovative and dynamic multidisciplinary CAMHS teams, that provide essential mental health support to enhance the social and psychological development of young people who are experiencing complex mental health difficulties.

The multi-disciplinary teams (MDT) are made up of Consultant Child Psychiatrist’s and mental health practitioners who have skills in a range of therapeutic modalities/specialisms, including but not limited to CBT, Family Therapy, SFP, IPT-A, art psychotherapy, counselling and non-medical prescribing. The successful candidate will also be working alongside other clinical psychologists within ELCAS and will join a large network of clinical psychologists as part of the Specialist Network in LSCFT.

BACKGROUND TO THE POST

This post will be based in Redditch / Bromsgrove.

The programme is specifically designed to engage with 16-25 year olds who are not in education, employment or training (NEETs) and provides them with an opportunity to re-engage in learning, participate in community projects, team work, attend residential visits and individual work placements.

The Team Leader will deliver the 12 week programme face-to-face with young people and work closely and effectively with local agencies and organisations to recruit team members. At the end of the 12 week programme, the post holder is expected to evaluate the programme and write reports.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Recruitment of the team of young people, including liaising with training managers, employment services, careers officers, employers, youth organisations, hostels, Job Centre Plus, schools, colleges and other external agencies as necessary.
2. Deliver the team programme face-to-face.
3. Set team and students programme objectives, to meet both team and individual needs and deliver the expected learning outcomes.
4. Liaise with community organisations and agencies to plan, prepare and supervise appropriate team projects and individual placements for students.
5. Work with the Programme Co-ordinator to plan and deliver a quality assured team programme which includes all the required elements.
6. Provide leadership and guidance to the team, taking responsibility for their health, safety and welfare including appropriate disciplinary procedure, medical protocols and risk assessments.
7. Work with other Team Leaders and the Co-ordinator to plan and effect a strategic response to the needs of this cohort of students.
8. Conduct regular meetings for evaluation, review and assessment with the whole team on an individual basis.

10. Submit regular reports on the Team to the line manager and make significant input to staff team discussions, planning, review and evaluation and the curriculum area SAR.

12. Organise and lead 3 residential weeks with the Team during the academic year.

You will be a qualified and HCPC registered SLT with sound knowledge and experience of specialist assessment and treatment procedures for this client group. MAIN DUTIES

The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the Group achieves cash collection targets and minimises debts of concern. This will be achieved by the of robust management of the sales ledger and billing function on a set area of the sales ledger, as well as providing support to the Credit Control Manager.

Key responsibilities

• Raising sales invoices in line with customer invoicing terms to pre agreed systemised billing set up
• Raising free text invoices for one off re-chargeable costs
• Chase local authority accounts for payment of invoices and deal with queries
• Allocate cash received against ledger
• Manage queries with regions and customers. To work closely with Polaris region/home when invoicing customers and have proactive query resolution skills.
• Reduce current debtor days on ledger to agreed target, per customer, per region
• To be effectively and efficiently organised and maintain concise communication records.
• To ensure that we are invoicing for all services delivered on region / home managed.

General Duties will include the following:

Applications are invited for the role of Senior level (ST6-7 or post CCT) Clinical Fellow in Women's Health to commence as soon as possible for a fixed term period of 6 months.

The post is primarily based at Burnley General Hospital There is an on call commitment on the 2nd on call rota which has a 1 in 9 frequency, this is a full shift rota including blocks of nights. Occasionally, the postholder will be expected to deliver outpatient clinics and gynaecology ward cover to the Royal Blackburn Hospital (Monday to Friday only). We also provide outpatient services to Rossendale Hospital, 8 miles away.

The Lancashire Womens & Newborn Centre is located on the Burnley General site and we provide satellite clinics across East Lancashire to ensure ease of access for the local population. We provide a full range of clinics in both obstetrics and gynaecology and all members of the team have a sub speciality interest. We have an outstanding reputation as a training unit.

Candidates must have full registration with the GMC and meet all the necessary requirements of the person specification.


1. The postholder will carry out a range of duties covering many aspects of Women’s Health. These include covering labour ward, antenatal ward and postnatal ward, elective caesarean section lists, the emergency gynaecology and Early Pregnancy Assessment Unit, working in antenatal and gynaecology outpatients, and elective and emergency gynaecology theatre lists. All duties will be undertaken with suitable senior support.
2. There is an on call commitment on the 2ndon call rota. This is a full shift rota including blocks of nights. The postholder will be the ‘senior registrar’ during on call shifts, working alongside a more junior registrar and 2 SHOs. There are 2 on call consultants (one for obstetrics and one for gynaecology) who provide support from home out of hours.
3. The postholder will be expected to provide active senior medical input into the antenatal, intrapartum and postnatal care of women in the hospital.
4. The postholder will also be expected to taken an active role in management of acute gynaecological admissions and gynaecological emergencies.
5. The postholder will be expected to demonstrate excellent medical leadership, communication and multidisciplinary team working.
6. We have ample opportunities for the postholder to develop their own skills and special interests, and are keen to support the candidate in studying towards ATSMs/SITMs and/or completing CESR.

The Obstetrics and Gynaecology unit comprises a high-risk Birth suite with 20 rooms, antenatal and postnatal wards, a maternity triage, an antenatal day unit, 3 Obstetric theatres, a dedicated gynaecology ward, and a 7-day gynaecology assessment and early pregnancy assessment unit. There is an alongside midwifery-led birth centre. There are day-case and inpatient gynaecology theatre sessions running daily (often 2 or 3 theatre lists running concurrently).

Our maternity service has recently been rated ‘good’ by the CQC.

Outpatient activity includes, but is not limited to: general gynaecology, colposcopy, hysteroscopy, urogynaecology, fertility and recurrent miscarriage.

We have a large fetal medicine unit staffed by 4 consultants. We have a strong working relationship with our colleagues in our Level 3 neonatal unit.

We are a BSGE accredited centre for endometriosis.

There are 25 Consultants in post.

Other staff include: 3 specialty doctors/Obstetric and Gynaecology speciality trainees/Obstetric and Gynaecology locally employed doctors (JCFs and SCFs)/Foundation doctors
