The Specialist Community Public Health Nurse training role has been evaluated at mid-point band 5 (currently £32,324) in accordance with HCT’s terms and conditions of appointment guidelines.

Internal staff wishing to train in a different specialty (e.g. a current HCT adult community nurse wishing to train as a public health nurse) will not be seconded and must resign from their current position.

The Trust will pay your course fees which includes but is not limited to, mandatory fees (including the index fee), community practice assessor costs, travel expenses when in clinical placement only, recruitment and/or management support costs and other ancillary costs incurred to support you through the course as the Trust may decide (the “Course Fees").

There is no guarantee of a band 6 post on completion of training. However, within the contract you will be expected to apply for available public health nursing posts in Hertfordshire on qualifying and remain in post for 2 years.

Unless there are exceptional circumstances (as decided by the Trust) or you are not offered a position within HCT upon qualification, you will be liable to pay back, within 2 years of completing the course, all or a proportion of the Course Fees (currently estimated to be £4,000) to the Trust in the following circumstances:

a) if you cease employment before you attend the course but the Trust has already incurred liability for some or all of the Course Fees; or

b) if you cease employment prior to completing the course or fail to successfully complete the course; or

c) if you do not take up permanent employment within the Trust as a qualified public health nurse on successful completion of the course when positions were available: or

d) if you take up permanent employment within the trust but do not remain in employment for at least 24 months after the date on which you begin permanent employment.

Job Description

Essential Functions:

• Conducts timely follow up of claims as needed.
• Demonstrates application of compliance standards and payer specific data to properly file claims, ensures prompt, appropriate reimbursement of services and supplies billed to third parties and appropriate payment of services and supplies due from patients, as evidenced by documentation, observation and feedback.
• Demonstrates a working knowledge of third party payor procedures including, but not limited to; Medicare, Medicaid, Champus, Blue Cross and all other third party contractual agreements entered into.
• Uses tools provided to track and trend patterns of claim submission issues that might require Compliance and Charge master staff to resolve, or HIPAA transaction code set review. Research payor requirements and offer suggestions to leadership for claims submission issues.
• Maintains and updates appropriate system documentation to provide information regarding claim processing to internal or external customers.
• Identifies unresolved requests of patient responsibility and transfers account to self pay. Performs duties and provides best customer service using behaviors that demonstrate responsibility and accountability.
• Participates in departmental activities related to performance improvement and quality control.
• All other duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

Preferred:
Experience - 1+ years of Clerical Experience; 1+ years of Medical Patient Accounts/Financial Services Experience
Education - Bachelors degree in Accounting, Business, Health Related Field
Certifications - Certified Clinical Account Technician (CCAT) - Accredited University or accredited training professionals; Certified Patient Account Technician (CPAT) - Accredited University or accredited training professionals

Physical Requirements:
Sedentary work - Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects, including the human body. Sedentary work involves sitting most of the time.

Senior CAMHS Practitioner working with Children and Young People with Complex Mental Health Needs, band 7

Redbridge CAMHS are recruiting to an exciting new post working with Children and Young people referred to CAMHS. We seek an experienced CAMHS practitioner, therapist or mental health nurse with a passion for improving the service we deliver.

The successful applicant will join the established Redbridge team, to provide bespoke assessments and interventions within our emotional difficulties pathway. Supervision and development of therapeutic skills will be provided by the Consultant Clinical Psychologist, and there will be opportunities for joint work. The post holder will be a member of the CAMHS multi-disciplinary team and will attend and participate in MDT meetings.

The post holder will have a commitment to collaborative working and actively supporting and liaising with other health, education and social care professionals as we embed a trauma informed model of practice within the service. The post holder will be passionate about ensuring the child’s voice is central to the work we do and work in partnership with foster families/carers and other agencies to achieve the outcomes desired by the child or young person.

Starting with NELFT

NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focusing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.



High Cost Area Supplement – London

This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (minimum payment of £4,313 and a maximum payment of £5,436 per annum pro rata).
