The Finance Manager will maintain all effective controls and be responsible for the timely completion of the management reporting for the hotel, in accordance with objectives set by the Finance Controller, including, Month End, Balance Sheets, VAT Return, Cash Flow and Audits

Duties and Responsibilities:


Ensure the month end P&L is produced on time, with all accounts accurately viewed and reconciled to ensure that accurate reflection of the Hotel true financial results.
Reconcile all Balance Sheet Accounts monthly
Liaise and co -operate with both internal audit and all External audit bodies.
Ensuring that an effective program of on property audit is in place
Assist in the preparation of Budgets, Forecasts and Call Over’s
Review management information, financial operational controls & processes


Skills & Experience:


Finance Qualification: CIMA, ACCA or AAT (or equivalent)
Ideally having worked in a similar accounting role
A person with hunger to progress, energetic, persistent and an inquisitive mind.
IT skills include MS Excel and MS word.

Job Description

• Operate in a finance business partner role, supporting the Operations Directors and Account Director to manage their businesses and achieve their ambitious financial targets.
• Use trend analysis and forecasting techniques to highlight risk and opportunity in a timely manner to maximise benefit to the business.
• Provide support and training to operational teams to ensure Operations Managers and Location Managers can maximise the operational efficiency of their teams and contracts
• Identify, evaluate, and recommend tools and technology to optimise site performance and user experience.
• Identify and implement initiatives at a regional level to deliver sustainable operational improvements.
• Support the mobilisation of new contracts, including building realistic operating budgets, monitoring performance during initial trading and working with the Operations team to implement any corrective actions in a timely manner.
• Support the regional month end process, reviewing proposed adjustments and supporting Operations Managers on location performance.
• Provide meaningful and insightful reporting analysis to support regional operational review meetings.
• Work effectively as part of the finance team to identify and implement best practice opportunities across all regions. to develop and maintain an effective control environment and to continue to develop the existing business reporting environment.
• Schedule meetings, organise and maintain MD’S calendar with the ability to understand and anticipate challenges facing the business and be able to manage/reschedule priorities effectively and proactively.

The post holder will be accountable for the operational delivery of emergency services at University College Hospital and will work closely with the clinical, nursing and managerial leads across the division, to ensure the provision of an efficient, safe, effective service that delivers excellent patient and staff experience.
