MFT is looking to employ placement students for a 12-month period starting August 2024 to work hands within our Finance Innovation Team. The role will support the use of technology within Finance, specifically the roll out of Robotic Process Control (RPA), development of our financial planning software (Anaplan) and reporting via PowerBI.

To be considered for this position you will currently be a university student looking for a placement year as part of their degree in an Information Systems or Information Technology related subject. • Making outbound calls to existing customers through leads given to acquire new unsecured loans sales.
• Recommending and persuading customers with regards to unsecured retail banking products.
• Following up on income documents and any other relevant documents required for application submission.

• Former / Current Insurance / Property Agents highly preferred

What We're Looking For:

• Bring to the table 5-10 years of impactful experience in accounting or finance, with a significant stint in financial or statutory auditing roles.
• Hold a CA/CPA certification, demonstrating your commitment to excellence, with preference given to fully qualified candidates.
• Exhibit mastery of IFRS, SFRS, and US GAAP, backed by hands-on proficiency in financial statement preparation.
• Showcase your adeptness with QuickBooks, showcasing your prowess in managing and presenting financial data seamlessly.

Job Responsibilities:

Part of the Credit Administration & Reporting team responsible for ESG conditions and non-ESG conditions monitoring and compliance.

• Review facility agreement to ensure that the ESG condition clauses as well as credit-related condition clauses, the compliance date and monitoring party are correctly input in the loan origination system for verification
• Perform verification of ESG condition clauses for compliance such as verification of validity of ESG related certifications, verification of approval of client eligibility for ESG financing and credit-related condition clauses for compliance such as financial ratios, loan to security ratios, project completion date, project sales target etc
• Prepare regulatory/management report and participate in process review, projects etc

Job Requirements:

• Familiar with MAS Notices (credit-related)
• Familiar with sustainability financing programs
• Have a good understanding of financial statements and financial ratios.
• At least 4 years’ experience in wholesale credit preferred.
