As the Associate Director, you will:

• Participate with the E&I Director and Deputy Director in planning and implementing the office programs within the broad framework of laws, regulations, policies and procedures established by the NCUA Board such as activities and rulemakings involving derivatives risk, subordinated debt, risk based capital and market risk related to investments, credit instruments, and balance sheet risk.
• Exercise direct leadership and supervision over assigned division managers.
• Manage assigned projects and ensure effective project management is conducted by subordinates.
• Identify and resolve office operational problems.
• Analyze program requirements for assigned divisions and staff and determines staff resources, equipment, and other resources needed to accomplish work assignments.
• Ensure all assigned employees receive the appropriate training for their position and financial and material resources are available to support program or policy implementation.
• In assigned areas, initiate recruitment actions to fill position vacancies, interviews prospective candidates, and makes recommendations to the E&I Director and Deputy Director on job offers and position description changes.
• Review work products to ensure they are completed, accurate, comprehensive, and well written.
• Participate with the E&I Director and Deputy Director to maintain effective working relationships with the credit union industry, federal and state government agencies, and the general public
• Influence, in concert with the E&I Director and Deputy Director, agency planning and policy.

The incumbent manages major Agency infrastructure programs for Accountable Property Assets, Safety, Printing and Copier Fleet, Supplies, Mail Operations, Warehouse/Distribution, and the Distribution Center's Continuity of Operations (COOP).

As a Support Services Specialist - Open to all U.S. Citizens, you will:

• Directs the Asset Management Program of accountable property and ensures compliance with applicable NCUA property policies.
• Serves as the NCUA Safety Officer responsible for assisting the DPFM/Designated Agency Safety and Health Official (DASHO) with program development and implementation, hazard recognition, evaluation, control, and remediation; collection and analysis of all reported workplace accidents or incidents; air quality; ergonomics; fire and life safety; and recommending education and training resources for managers, supervisors, and employees.
• Conducts or participates in inspections of NCUA Central and Regional workplaces.
• Manages the NCUA Mail Operations and Distribution Center supply needs.
• Serves as the Contracting Officer's Representative (COR) for multiple OCFO/DPFM contracts, including government digital and hard copy printing, mail operations and screening, strategically sourced supplies, U.S. postage and express mail services, courier services, portable printers, equipment, and agency program awards.
• Drafts current guidance and standards regarding NCUA's Safety and Health Program (SHP), postal operations, etc.

• Provide expert guidance and advice on credit, lending, and liquidity risk evaluation and assessment to the CLF Vice President and President.
• Make and administer extensions of credit consistent with relevant provisions of the Federal Credit Union Act, other applicable laws, rules and regulations, and secure collateral associated with extensions of credit.
• Analyze financial data and accounting information and perform credit and liquidity risk assessments.
• Develop and plan risk monitoring of credit risk trends of the CLF membership including emerging issues and analysis of Call and Financial Performance Report data and make recommendations to senior CLF management regarding credit.
