The post holder will work as part of the Macmillan Specialist multi-disciplinary team comprising of Medics, Dietitian, Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Nurses, Speech and Language Therapist, Assistant Practitioners, Admin support and Volunteer Coordinators. The team aims to provide effective support palliative care and/or rehabilitation to patients with a life limiting condition requiring palliative intervention.

The post holder will provide supportive palliative care to enhance the quality of life for patients / carers with any life limiting illness requiring palliative care, including complex physical, psychological and emotional needs. We're looking for an enthusiatic, dynamic and forward-thinking Occupational Therapist with experience of working in neuro-rehabilitation at Band 6 level and above.

You should have proven skills in neurological occupational therapy including
• Knowledge and experience of assessing and treating cognition, vision and spasticity.
• In depth knowledge of the mental capacity act and complex discharge planning.
• Excellent communication skills
• Skills in acute neurological management and rehabilitation and multidisciplinary working.
• Experience of complex discharge planning within the NHS.

You will be required to co-ordinate and monitor the activity and caseload demands on the unit, provide evidence-based training within the MDT and support junior therapists in the team to ensure high quality care.

You will provide support to the OT team through supervision, appraisal and teaching. And you'll support the Therapy Clinical Lead with service provision and development opportunities.

You will be supported in your role by the Therapy Clinical Lead and receive regular supervision.

Wythenshawe Hospital part of Manchester Foundation Trust is seeking to appoint committed and compassionate radiographers to join our CT Team.

The workload is varied and we do many complex scanning procedures, the department has three CT scanners covering all aspects of CT scanning. We intend to increase our interventional service and provide an increased capacity for scanning and supporting lung cancer patients with the introduction of a dedicated Lung Cancer scanning unit.

The CT department consists of a friendly team who all work on a shift pattern rota, covering seven day / 24 hour working.

The ideal candidate should be able to demonstrate an interest in CT scanning and have some experience of working in the NHS CT environment.

The CT department at Wythenshawe is very busy and we scan a lot of patients from all areas of the hospital. You will need to work with a large team of Radiographers including Radiologists, Radiology Assistants and Interventional Nurses.

Applications are invited for a fixed term locum appointment in Renal and Pancreas Transplant Surgery commencing early in 2025. This post is based at the Manchester Royal Infirmary. The Department of Renal and Pancreas Transplantation is the largest unit in the country and is looking to appoint a locum consultant to join our team to cover for a sabbatical. The post will focus on delivering pancreatic and renal (both live and deceased) transplantation, vascular access surgery, and provide input to the organ retrieval (NORS) service. Band 7 - Advanced Specialist Cardiac Physiologist / Healthcare Scientist

We are looking for enthusiastic, committed, dynamic individuals to join our Team at Manchester Foundation Trust who will have the opportunity to rotate between sites to provide Cardiac Diagnostic Services both in a large tertiary centre, district general hospital and the community settings.

Manchester Foundation Trust offers a full spectrum of Invasive and Non-Invasive cardiac diagnostic investigations and is committed to developing staff and actively developing new roles for service provision.

Independently practices with a high level of skill and autonomy at Advanced Specialist level in either Echocardiography or Cardiac Rhythm Management.

Independently practices with a high level of skill and autonomy a wide range of other cardiac physiology procedures.

Provides effective day-to-day leadership of the cardiac physiology team within the advanced specialist field and other areas when required.

Actively participates in practical & theoretical training & development of multidisciplinary healthcare professionals from inside and outside of the organisation.

Participates in cardiac & associated medical research as integral to the role.

Undertakes any other duties which are deemed appropriate to the band when requested by Principal Cardiac Physiologist.
