Responsibilities:

• Trust tax knowledge is essential as is a wide knowledge of personal taxation.
• Act as a point of contact within the firm for the client together with the other senior staff.
• Deal with all matters relating to the management of a portfolio of existing clients including billings and cash collection within the firm's criteria but with a significant element of ad hoc consultancy work.
• Pro-actively manage your own workload, provide overall support to Partners on client matters and assist Partners in the management of the group.
• Recognise business and sales opportunities and progress these forward with other senior staff. A strong appetite for growing the portfolio and team is required.

To be successful you will have

• Experience providing trust, estate and charity advice to high net worth individuals
• Proven specialist technical private client experience, and the ability to deal with complex tax issues, gained within a practice environment
• Experience of reviewing Trust accounts and associated tax accounting aspects (eg computing tax pools)
• Experience of dealing with HNW clients
• Some experience of and an appetite for seeking opportunities for developing new clients and for selling new services to existing clients
• Staff management experience
• CTA and/or STEP qualified

Finance Assistant

Salary: Up to £30,000

Position Summary:

Manage daily cash flow, record and process financial transactions, and ensure accurate documentation of all financial processes. Create auditable financial statements for internal and external use.

Key Responsibilities:

• Process invoices, including checking against PO logs, assigning account codes, obtaining authorization, and releasing to ledger via Xero.
• Identify and resolve invoice anomalies to minimize payment delays.
• Maintain and reconcile supplier accounts, handle credit control, and produce debtor reports.
• Manage petty cash and foreign currency, ensuring monthly reconciliation.
• Oversee bank-related duties, including international payments and bank transfers.
• Provide financial reports and monthly reconciliations.
• Process non-stock purchase orders, set up new supplier and customer codes through Xero, and perform credit checks.
• Suggest improvements for accuracy, efficiency, and cost reduction.
