Senior Finance Manager

YOUR ROLE
Genworth is seeking a Finance Manager in a new role on our Long Term Care (LTC) team. You will own and drive high visibility analysis critical to maintaining self-sustainability of the legacy life insurance companies. The role offers the opportunity to work in a high exposure, fast paced environment with high exposure to senior leadership.
What you will be doing
- Responsible for monitoring self-sustainability progress and communication throughout the organization
- Play a critical role in coordinating various workstreams supporting self-sustainability
- Maintain self-sustainability dashboard and present to senior executives
- Perform cash flow analysis and develop messaging by working with cross-functional groups
- Support strategic business initiatives, special projections, internal and external communication and inquiries
- Serve as liaison between FP&A and LTC business for multi-year planning process. Support connectivity between financial performance and business goals.
- Assist in a culture of continuous improvement, eliminate non-value-added activities and deliver business impact/results by identifying innovative solutions
- Support additional process improvement and cross functional initiatives as needed
- Work collaboratively and efficiently with various business functions
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or related field
- 7+ years of Finance, Accounting or investment analysis experience
- Very strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated ability to learn new concepts quickly and complete multiple assignments with high degrees of quality
- Strong comprehension of financial reports/metrics including deep understanding of income statement, balance sheet and cash flow analysis
- Ability to influence, gain consensus, foster support and work collaboratively within a team
- Ability to design and implement solutions while successfully managing change with process owners up to and including members of the CEO’s senior leadership team
- Results focused, proactive in nature, thrives in a fast-paced environment with ability to manage multiple and changing priorities
- Accelerated PC Skills including MS Office
Nice to have
- Advanced degree in finance or management
- Insurance industry knowledge, particularly life insurance or long-term care insurance
- Project management experience
