What you will be doing

In this role at Rhodes Wood Hospital,a service for for children and young people aged 8-18 years with eating disorders or with learning disabilities each day brings different challenges and experiences. Working along side the reception team your key responsibilities will be welcoming all visitors in a friendly manner, co-ordinating the office diary for meetings and events and efficiently handling telephone calls, emails and post.

Ensuring the safety and security of service users, staff and visitors is a top priority. You’ll oversee visitor sign ins, conduct security checks and manage the distribution of keys and security badges.

As a Receptionist you will be:

• Welcoming all visitors in a friendly manner and ensuring the sign the visitor book.
• Maintaining the upkeep of the reception area & meeting rooms are presentable.
• Managing the office diary for meetings, events, training days and therapy sessions.
• Ensuring confidentially and security to the service.
• Receiving and dealing with telephone calls, emails and post.
• Ad hoc administration tasks.
• Ensuring all appropriate leaflets and brochures are on display.
• Manage deliveries.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

• Previous experience
• Computer skills
• Communication and interpersonal skills
• Must be professional, confident and diplomatic
• GCSE English Language Grade C or above
• Be efficient and enthusiastic
• Awareness of understanding confidentiality and security
• Ability work alongside a team and independently

Join the team at Rhodes Wood Hospital providing care for children and young people aged 8-18 years with eating disorders or with learning disabilities who require residential care, working on tailored treatment programmes designed for the individual needs of each young person.

You will support a warm and nurturing environment, allowing for the understanding of symptoms, patterns and origins of psychological distress, and will actively encourage children to personalise bedroom spaces to make these feel like a home from home.

There is also an on-site Ofsted Registered school to support young people continue with their education while in hospital. Rhodes Wood Hospital is located on the outskirts of Hatfield, which is easily reachable by car.

The service operates 24/7. Standard shifts are 12.5 hours a day, on a 0 hour contract, so you can pick and choose when you work.

You'll be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team at Barnet Lane Clinic, which is a 30-bed rehabilitation service for people with a mental illness including those diagnosed with a personality disorder.

You will work with individuals who may have had placement breakdowns and need intensive review and support to help them move to more independent living, with a focus on supporting people build a better quality of life for themselves and equip them with the skills needed for community living, supportive relationships, and increased independence.What you will get
