Are you an enthusiastic, motivated and committed pharmacy technician? Would you like to join our pharmacy technician development program? You will undertake pharmacy-related duties across all sites in the Trust and will be based in Hackney (E9 6SR, E9 5TD, N4 2ES) You will be required to undertake ward stock top up and non-stock top up and participate in dispensary duties. You will use pharmacy electronic ordering systems to co-ordinate and maintain supply of medicines to wards and work with the other technicians to improve stock systems and reduce waste. This is a full-time, substantive post. NELFT is the largest providers of MHST’s in England. Our Southend, Essex and Thurrock services cover 144 schools currently. The service is developing and expanding with an aim to cover all secondary schools in Mid and South Essex by September 2025. We currently cover 48% of secondary and primary school within Southend, Essex and Thurrock.

The Mental Health Support Teams (MHST) deliver evidence-based individual interventions and group interventions in educational settings for children experiencing mild to moderate mental health difficulties aged 5 to 18 years old. The South East Essex Mental Health Support Team (MHST) covers a large geographical area incorporating the districts of Southend, Castlepoint, Rochford and Canvey Island. We are looking for an experienced Mental Health Practitioner with a UK Professional Registration to join our Mental Health Support Teams (MHSTs). MHST's are a new service designed to support children and young people with mild to moderate mental health and emotional wellbeing difficulties within education settings; ensuring children and young people receive faster access to early intervention mental health support. In this post, you will be a senior clinical team member, holding a clinical caseload and supervising junior staff and trainee EMHPs. We are looking for a Senior Psychologist for a fixed term post or secondment to cover parental leave as the Lead the Crisis Pathway for Psychological input in City and Hackney’s Services across Homerton University Hospital and ELFT’s crisis services and Homerton Psychological Medicine Department. The East London Mother and Baby Unit is a specialist service that aims to provide mental health care for mothers and support in the care of their infants. The unit provides an integrated approach to care planning and promotes recovery. Mothers admitted to the unit are either experiencing mental health problems antenatally or up to one year postnatally. Applicants for this position will need to be an experienced RMN with a willingness to work toward developing their understanding of this specialist field and of infant care and development whilst working within a multidisciplinary team.

You will also support the pharmacists with medicines reconciliation as well as undertaking audits and stock reviews.

We are enthusiastic about supporting our staff to develop, as such, you will be required to work across our pharmacy dispensary and clinical teams. You will be an accredited medicines management training (AIMMS) and/or Accredited checking technician training (ACT) or working towards it. You should have aBTEC / NVQ Level 3 in Pharmaceutical Sciences or equivalent and be registered on the UK GPHC professional registration.



1. To assist with the provision of a high-quality pharmacy optimisation service to patients of the

Trust.

2. Co-ordinates and maintains medication supply to the wards and teams.

3. Assesses identified patient’s individual pharmaceutical care needs within 72 hours of admission.

4. Initiates and completes a medicine reconciliation for each identified patient.

5. Is a key member of the Multidisciplinary Team, participating in weekly team meetings to maximise

patients’ potential for independent medicines optimisation.

6. To support the clinical pharmacy team in attaining CQUIN and KPI targets

7. Ensures all documentation in regard to Medications Optimisation on the unit is completed

accurately.

8. To participate in dispensary duties where applicable

9. To maintain Accredited Checking Pharmacy Technician (ACPT) status

10. To prepare and maintain Medicines Optimisation (MOPs) accreditation.

11. To prepare discharge medication (TTAs) in a timely and efficient manner

12. To communicate discharge information to patients, Community Pharmacies and GPs

13. To participate in the weekend rota.

Gardner ward is a female acute ward and has twenty beds. The service sets out to provide effective mental health care to help service users recover from a mental health crisis, and support their rehabilitation to get back on track with their lives.

Homerton University Hospital (HUH) NHS Foundation Trust provides a liaison psychiatry service which has a single point of access available 24 hours a day 7 days a week and is available to all patients with mental health conditions, dementia/delirium, substance misuse and medically unexplained symptoms who present to acute care. This service has been funded and designed in line with NHS England’s ‘Core 24’ model of liaison psychiatry. Homerton Psychological Medicine (HPM) is a multidisciplinary assessment and brief intervention service providing expert advice, support and training to clinicians at the Homerton University Hospital Emergency Department (ED) and wards.



This is a full-time post. The post-holder will provide clinical leadership and work with the team manager and service lead to deliver high quality assessment and treatment to the population of adults and older adults who are attending Homerton Hospital Emergency Department (ED) due to mental health concerns, as well as for patients admitted to the acute wards at Homerton Hospital for physical health issues, and also require psychiatric input or advice. They will contribute to the overall management and service development of the service. We are keen to develop clinical and medical leadership. This post is suitable for an older adult consultant who is ready to also work with working age adults, or for a dual-trained adult & older adult consultant. Whilst this is an older adult post, the team is small and there is considerable cross-covering between consultants, so it is expected that the postholder will also carry out assessments of working age adults

The post holder will be a senior member of staff working in the City and Hackney Home Treatment and Crisis Team.

Whilst your base will be within the Home treatment team there might be need to cover assessments within the Crisis pathway.

The post involves shift work combination of early shifts, late shifts and long days - the applicant is applying is required to have flexibility to work across three different shift patterns.



You will have the opportunity to work alongside and within the Mental Health Liaison Team and Crisis Resolution and Home Treatment Team in working towards developing a cohesive crisis service pathway and supporting staffs professional development, experience, skills and knowledge. You will also be supported to develop skills through training provided by the trust to build assessment and formulation skills, risk management of psychotic, depressive, self-harm and suicidal presentation. In house training and development understanding Perinatal mental health, Children and Adolescence and working with individuals with Autism and ADHD.
