What You Will Do:
The Cloud Engineer will be part of the Innovation and Technology group (ITG) at Guidehouse Digital and bring demonstrated experience with engineering for technology modernization, cloud adoption, DevSecOps and digital systems development, using AWS or Azure or Google cloud platforms. The Engineer will develop and deploy digital solutions within public, private, hybrid and multi-clouds and support applications migration and modernization efforts, and Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS), Platform as a Service (PaaS), Container as a Service (CaaS) and API based service offerings.
The Cloud Engineer will work closely with solutions architects and technical/functional leads to build turnkey platforms reusable solutions and support multiple enterprise-wide technology modernization and digital systems engineering efforts across Guidehouse market segments and digital portfolio of projects.
· Solutions engineering within AWS/Azure/Google and private/hybrid cloud platforms and services for large-scale cloud implementations including VPCs, Virtual Networks, servers, applications, databases, security, disaster recovery and failover using automation.
· Solutions engineering to build out scalable and secure distributed digital systems using modern software technologies, Cloud Native and microservices architecture and API-First design patterns.
· Serve as a key member of the ITG team to support technical challenges/demonstrations and build innovative solution prototypes/products using emerging technologies and cloud architectures.
· Perform repeatable cloud migrations including rehost (lift and shift), re-platform and re-engineering of on-premises systems and IT assets (data, network, and systems/applications) into a mix of multi and hybrid cloud platforms.
· Engineering work to build out production-ready instances in the AOs multi-cloud environment.
· Engineering DevSecOps solutions using tools like Docker, Terraform, Jenkins and Kubernetes/OpenShift.
· Automate various tasks for CICD, cloud management, provisioning, decommissioning, securing and optimizing applications and infrastructure in cloud.
What You Will Need:
· 4-6 years of IT experience working with infrastructure and platforms engineering for government or commercial clients using open-source and other software technologies, cloud platforms and solution frameworks.
· 3+ years of experience with cloud applications development or DevSecOps or migrating applications, infrastructure and datasets to AWS or Azure or GCP is required.
· Any cloud certification (Associate /Professional level) such as AWS Solution Architect / SysOps / DevOps Engineer or Microsoft Azure or Google Cloud.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with an ability to handle customer requirements and engineer solutions.
· Bachelor’s degree
· U.S. Citizen or Green Card is required for the position.
· Must be able to obtain Public Trust clearance at a minimum.
What Would Be Nice To Have:
· BS degree in Computer Science or IT or Engineering or related disciplines
· Master’s degree in Computer Science or IT or Engineering or related disciplines
· Exposure to hybrid or multi-cloud architectures and systems integrations using cloud-native services
The annual salary range for this position is $100,200.00-$150,200.00. Compensation decisions depend on a wide range of factors, including but not limited to skill sets, experience and training, security clearances, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs.
