What We're Looking For:

• Proven experience as a Commercial Gas Engineer in facilities management.
• Relevant gas qualifications and certifications (e.g., COCN1, CODNCO1).
• Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Excellent communication skills and a customer-focused approach.

The Company

I am working with a leading manufacturer in their industry to recruit a Mechanical Service Technician to grow their aftersales installation and service team. They have a growing need to hire a Mechanical Service Technician, who has experience with maintenance, installation, commissioning and TIG Welding.

The Role

• Attend customer sites to carry out inspections and service/fitting work
• Following all company and industry standards
• Creating site inspection reports
• Working closely with suppliers and sub-contractors
• This role will include fully expensed stay-aways to complete larger projects

Key Skills

• Apprentice trained or NVQ Level 2 engineering qualification
• Experience workiung on customer sites
• Experience in a field service role
• Strong welding knowledge, ideally TIG

Salisbury - South Coast

Field Service Engineer required for a market leading service provider of commercial laundry equipment in the care home sector. This is a great opportunity to join a reputable company who truly value and celebrate their team whilst offering job security.

The successful field service engineer will be confident both mechanically and electrically and will ideally have experience with plumbing, gas and control systems. You will ideally be gas qualified however for the successfull candidate this is something the company can provide.

The successful field service engineer will provide reactive and routine maintenance to both industrial and commercial laundry equipment for breakdowns at customer sites working to a target upwards of 80% first time fix. This will involve dead testing and carrying out isolation. You will work from home and will be required to be on call out stand by one in four weekends.

The Field Service Engineer Role:

· Carrying out electrical and mechanical maintenance
· Field based working at customer sites – typically 1 hour to 1.5 hours radius between jobs
· Working on commercial laundry equipment in care homes, hotels, charities, gyms etc.
· 3 to 4 jobs average per day
· 1 in 4 weekends callout standby

The Field Service Engineer Candidate:

· Electromechanical experience
· Experience in any engineering/ machinery maintenance/ laundry environment.
· Work quickly to rectify breakdowns and work effectively to PPM schedules.
