The role
As a Junior Mechanical Engineer, you'll have a role that's out of the ordinary. This role provides an excellent opportunity to develop as a Mechanical Engineer within a high-profile and prestigious energy project within an international, 'people-first' organisation.

Day-to-day, you'll perform feasibility studies, site surveys and liaise with station engineering staff to identify scope of works required.

Essential experience of the Junior Mechanical Engineer:

Job Description: Lancashire County Council is recruiting for a Senior ICT Engineer/Designer to join their Digital Services team, working across Architecture & Data, Digital Business Engagement, Strategy & Assurance, and more. This role will require lead technical expertise in ICT infrastructure and application support, ensuring high-level design, implementation, and maintenance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead the design and build of ICT solutions and manage small teams where necessary.
• Provide operational ICT support, including 2nd and 3rd line emergency on-call assistance.
• Take ownership of solution designs, monitoring performance, and recommending enhancements.
• Assist with disaster recovery efforts and ensure adherence to ITIL operational procedures.
• Lead discussions with suppliers, oversee design deliverables, and mentor junior team members.

Required Skills:

• Experience with Umbraco versions (version 7 and cloud), site migration, plugin development, and AD authentication integration.
• Expertise in .NET core, Bootstrap 5, and JQuery.
• Knowledge in building custom templates using Umbraco and CSHTML.

This hybrid role offers flexibility, with on-site work at County Hall, Preston, as required.

JA are recruiting on behalf of a leading service provider in the water and wastewater industry for an experienced Design Engineer. This in an amazing opportunity for a highly-motivated individual to join their growing Engineering team.

On a daily basis the successful candidate will manage and co-ordinate all activities and tasks within batch or scheme contracts to ensure the design of schemes/solutions within pre-tender, investigation, design, construction and completion stages.

The Design Engineer will be part of the design team covering the design of clean and waste water network, civil engineering and other projects related to the water industry.

The Design Engineer must ensure that all designs are completed to CDM 2015 Regulation.

Responsibilities:

Ensuring work is carried out in a productive and timely manner, maintaining a focus on minimising risk in all functions of Safety, Health, Environmental, Quality and Commercial aspects.
To ensure design drawings and construction packages accurately reflect the work to be delivered in accordance with the relevant Engineering Specification and all relevant Asset Standards or equivalent to that contract.
Produce and check technical documents within their area of expertise and produce construction packs ready for handover to site teams.
Investigation, design, construction and completion of projects in line with client specifications, national standards and codes of practice.
Preparing and registering all relevant documentation.
Working in collaboration with other design/investigation disciplines to ensure the integrity of the overall design.
Ensure compliance with all CDM, Health & Safety, and environmental issues in relation to the development of sustainable solutions.
Derive, select and manage innovative methods and use of materials & safe systems of work that will impact heavily on projects.
To liaise with external agencies ensuring the investigation/design and construction phase runs smoothly.
Liaising with internal departments / client to ensure schemes are designed using the most cost effective method available.
Produce accurate statutory notices for work to be carried out on private land in conjunction with the client’s requirements for dealing with private land.
Actively seek out Capital efficiencies and out performance within the works
Producing reports/information documents.
Ensure Liaison with clients, contractors, government agencies, local authorities and suppliers throughout the investigation, design and construction phase.
Ensure that all the relevant information for the H/S file and completions documents are available at the end of the project
To be customer focused with great attention to detail.




Skills and Experience:



Experience of using MS Office Excel, Word, Powerpoint, Outlook
Ability to demonstrate an initiative to work on their own and as part of a team
Have a good knowledge of water and waste water systems including associated MEICAT equipment
Experience of using AutoCAD 2D / GIS Software
Awareness of Process Safety
Understanding of network modelling software and application per client
