The role of a Mechanical Engineer - :
• Working on a number of projects including helping develop products before launches.
• Support the operations team as a front-line engineer working with assemblers and operators and troubleshooting equipment and process issues
• Engage with cross-functional business teams to meet daily production schedules and lead improvement strategies and initiatives
• Manage projects which include new production equipment, process improvements and cost reductions while supporting new product introductions
• Improve areas of the production environment using Lean manufacturing concepts
• Coordinate the design, procurement, build and debug of tooling, machinery and test equipment
• Maintain good housekeeping, a healthy and safe work environment and the safe use of equipment and machinery
What our client is looking for in a Mechanical Engineer :
• An in-depth understanding of Engineering within CNC Machines, Press Machines and Assembly - ESSENTIAL
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
• BSc or HNC in an engineering/technical discipline, or equivalent relevant experience - ESSENTIAL
• Working knowledge of ERP systems such as Epicor - DESIRABLE
