• You will maintain a holistic perspective of Unmanned Aircraft Systems (UAS) technology from data collection to UAS data analysis to support technology transition to end-users and sponsors.
• You will prepare project requirements, methods of execution, schedules, technical proposals, reports, statements of work, budgets, and manage and coordinate work with other scientists and engineers to achieve planned work efforts.
• You will provide training and other informational materials regarding Navy UAS applications, including development of User Guides and recorded training sessions.
• You will ensure safe UAS flight operations and maintaining compliance with DOD/DON UAS policies and instructions.

• Assists the assistant state conservationist (ASTC) and the State Conservation Engineer (SCE) in determining the training needs; assists in the organization of the statewide engineering training program.
• Provides technical guidance and training to personnel in the area of all engineering practices and in the use and care of engineering equipment.
• Provides training to conservation contractors and others assisting with the planning and application of conservation practices.
• Coordinates and conducts necessary quality assurance reviews of planned, designed, and constructed engineering projects in the assigned area/state.

• Leads the Engineering teams for Human Spaceflight Programs as direct delegates of the Chief Engineer of those Programs.
• Supports the Chief Engineers in the execution of Engineering Technical Authority for internal compatibility and adherence to the policies and standards of the Engineering Directorate, Program Offices, Center, and Agency.
• Serves as the Engineering Directorate prime contact for their technical domain; responsible for technical integration, planning, and creation of design, development, test, evaluation, operation and maintenance of systems and/or software.
• Assigns technical tasks to Divisions and leads/coordinates efforts across the Directorate system managers; advises on policy/requirements; conducts engineering investigations to support projects; identifies and mitigates problems and issues.

• Operate one or more diesel electric locomotives to move a variety of sizes, weights and number of railroad cars containing hazardous cargo.
• Follow railroad and locomotive safety rules and procedures to operate under adverse weather conditions and/or poor visibility.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs to railroad box cars, flat cars, and locomotives.
• Perform coupling and uncoupling operations involved in making and breaking up trains.
• Receive and relay messages to the crew for placement of train cars.
• Plan the best sequence of arranging, picking up and setting out train cars.
• Check engines, brakes, warning devices, reversing lever, sander, air, oil, electrical and temperature gauges for proper operation.

This is a newly created role where you will lead a multi-functional team to continuously improve all aspects of plant equipment and personnel, whilst leading projects from concept to handover.

Role & Responsibilities will include:

Plant & Equipment:
* Establishing new production equipment / facilities by project managing small and medium projects from concept to handover. Developing and executing a 5 year capital plan.

Continuous Improvement:
* Lead change management associated with CI Project activities, whilst resolving production difficulties by developing and implementing solutions.

Safety & Legislative Compliance
* Maintain Compliance relating to legislation affecting site based equipment and activities
* Work closely with the HSE team in conducting risk assessments for project implementation, whilst participating in safety assessments - PUWER, LOLER etc

Knowledge, Skills & Experience:

* Proven Project Planning & Project Management experience relating to high value equipment installation
* Ideally Degree Qualified with at least 5 years experience in a similar role within an Engineering / Manufacturing environment

• You will be responsible for the development, all related technical issues, and execution of facilities engineering projects.

• Evaluates contractors' earned value management (EVM) compliance and performance.

The RE functions include supporting the Senior Resident Engineer (SRE) by participating in design management with the CFM Project Manager (PM) and VA Medical Center (MC) stakeholders; and when applicable, monitoring various ongoing construction activities and schedule for conformance with contract requirements. The major duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

• Overseeing civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, or architectural aspects of construction.
• Supporting processing of easements, pertinent deeds, local code requirements, and restrictions.
• Participating in the coordination of utility service tie-ins and outages to minimize disruption to ongoing operations.
• Interacting with the CFM PM and Schedule Consultant to help determinate recovery of lost time due to unanticipated events [e.g., weather, delays in material shipments, unanticipated site work problems, etc.].
• Coordinating with local stakeholders and VA Central Office staff.
• Recommending solutions to resolve unusual or unique problems related to hospital design or unanticipated issues occurring during the actual construction of facilities.
• Identifying potential construction related issues to the SRE.
• Reviewing comments from other professionals in a formal response to Architect Engineer (A/E) firms when necessary.
• Interpreting drawings and specifications for the contractor.
• Administering on-site construction and monitoring coordination of work.
• Coordinating commissioning activities for their area of assignment.
