When you join Design Group as a Structural Engineer, you are joining a team that will challenge you and position you for growth. In this role, you will work with a team of industry experts to help the world’s leading companies solve their most difficult problems. You will join our Architecture/Engineering Process Practice and partner with seasoned leaders, technical specialists, and subject matter experts to deliver the highest quality solutions to our clients with consistency and accuracy.

What You’ll Do

You'll work individually and in teams to support capital projects and implement solutions for our clients. Together, you will help our clients make critical changes to improve their performance and realize their most important goals.

• Prepare design and construction documents for new structures and for structural upgrades to existing facilities as a part of an integrated multi-disciplinary A/E team
• Assist the owner or project manager in defining the facility requirements/program for projects in the advanced technologies industry
• Oversee the work of structural engineers and designers
• Analyze and design concrete, steel, masonry, and timber structures with an emphasis on seismic design
• Work with the project team to produce structural calculations, calculation checks, drawings, specifications, reports, and other project deliverables
• Analyze existing structures and provide recommendations for strengthening new loads where required
• Develop design sketches into completed working details and drawings based on engineering fundamentals and applicable codes
• Ensure timely deliverables and exceed client expectations
• Guide team performance and provide constructive team feedback
• Conduct field work including handling structural as-builts, rebuilds, retrofits, construction technical support, and client personnel interaction
• Assist with the training and mentoring of junior level engineers and designers
• Recommend and institute corrective design changes
• Analyze configurations of basic project structural components
• Make an impact day-to-day with your skills and expertise, strengthening that relationship with our clients and team

What You’ll Bring

• A minimum of five years of experience as a structural engineer
• Experience in the analysis and design of structures with an emphasis on seismic design
• Hands on experience with structural engineering software such as ETABS, RISA, RAM, STAAD, SAP, Mathcad, and ENERCALC
• Experience with AutoCAD and REVIT (preferred)
• Detailed knowledge of building codes and seismic requirements
• Experience in private sector industrial repair/remediation and greenfield projects (preferred)
• The ability to climb stairs, ladders, and equipment/structures of varying heights
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office software: Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint
• Proficiency in written and verbal communication including generating reports and conducting group presentations
• A bachelor of science in civil engineering or a master of science in structural engineering from an ABET accredited institution
• A Professional Engineer License (preferred)
• A Structural Engineering License (preferred)

The approximate pay range for this position is $120,000-$150,000. Please note that the pay range provided is a good faith estimate for the position at the time of posting. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Implements and sustains BDPS work process for the manufacturing unit.

• Identifies critical equipment setting and creation of standards.

• Creates technical knowledge for the manufacturing unit and transfers the knowledge to the operator and technical associates.

• Coaches associates on continuous improvement methodologies within the manufacturing unit.

• Understands top losses within the manufacturing unit and develops and implements plans to eliminate losses and drive OEE performance.

• Responsible for manufacturing unit change control including validation activities, root cause analysis of prioritized OEE losses, and quality events and deviations.

• Other duties as required to support the needs of the business.

• Ensures new manufacturing processes and process improvements meet Manufacturing Unit objectives.

• Ensures equipment is running efficiently and effectively.

The Opportunity: 

When a user tries new software, they expect it to be intuitive and run smoothly. Functionality, reliability, and user experience are key to successful software development—and that means rigorous testing. That’s why we need you, an experienced test engineer who knows how to thoroughly test software and work with developers to make sure our team releases the best software possible. As a test engineer on our team, you’ll use your experience to work with testers, developers, and engineers to evaluate software developed for DoD. You’ll create a test plan with test cases based on user stories. Using automation to streamline, you’ll generate data and implement the test cases to observe how the software performs, then document the results and communicate defects to the development team so they can start improving the tool.  

You’ll automate continuous security and performance testing and monitor the health of Department of Defense tools. This is an opportunity to supercharge your skills by writing the code to test. You Have:

• 4+ years of experience with test and evaluation, conducting test and evaluation activities, and documenting results

• Experience with Test and Evaluation Master Plan (TEMP) development and staffing process

• Experience with the preparation of strategy, studies, plans, and analyses in support of test outcomes

• Experience working with military or DoD civilian clients and managing professional relationships

• Experience with multi-faceted tests and test project teams

• Experience with Systems Engineering and Integration and hardware and software system administration

As a DevOps infrastructure engineer at Booz Allen, you’ll work closely with cloud architects and engineers to manage server configuration for modern cloud solutions. You’ll apply your skills within a DevOps framework to establish or provision virtual machines or networks and use cloud service providers to further your clients’ meaningful missions.

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience with DevOps or DevSecOps processes, including source code management, automation, and managing releases across environments
• 4+ years of experience with provisioning, operations, and management of AWS infrastructure
• Experience with infrastructure as code (IaC) platforms and configuration management tools, including Terraform and CloudFormation
• Experience with containerization tools, including Docker and Kubernetes
• Experience with automation and scripting languages, including Bash, Ansible, and Python
• Experience with Linux and Windows operating systems, network administration, and networking protocols or functions, including HTTP, HTTPS, SSL/TLS, SMTP, or DNS
• Knowledge of CI tools such as Jenkins, Tekton, CircleCI, GitlabCI, AWS CodePipeline, and GitHub Actions
• Ability to obtain a security clearance
• Bachelor’s degree

Nice If You Have:

• 2+ years of experience with Linux operating system administration
• Experience creating and improving continuous deployment tools built on Kubernetes
• Experience with application, network, and infrastructure performance monitoring and analysis
• Experience with APIs and Web services, including REST and SOAP
• Experience embedding security best practices in the software development lifecycle, including IaC scanning, container scanning, software composition analysis, and static and dynamic security testing
• Experience managing and orchestrating Kubernetes deployments using Helm
• Knowledge of cybersecurity concepts including threats, vulnerabilities, security operations, encryption, boundary defense, auditing, authentication, and supply chain risk management
• Kubernetes Certifications, including Certified Kubernetes Application Developer or Certified Kubernetes Administrator Certifications
• Cloud Certifications, including AWS Certified Solutions Architect, AWS Certified Developer Associate or Professional, or similar Certifications in Cloud environments
• Security+ CE Certification

You Have:

• 5+ years of experience in the development of tools and processes to drive DevOps or DevSecOps maturity by automating builds, regression testing, monitoring, and pushing releases across environments

• 5+ years of experience troubleshooting, triaging, and resolving issues associated with CI/CD pipeline failures or slowness

• Experience developing enterprise Cloud-native solutions

• Experience provisioning computer networking and storage, and setting up servers that the platform is on, including virtual machine (VM) or networks

• Experience creating solutions to complex problems within a collaborative team environment

• TS/SCI clearance with a polygraph

• Bachelor's degree or 8+ years of experience in DevOps in lieu of a degree

Nice If You Have:

• Experience developing enterprise Cloud-native solutions, involving Kubernetes, Docker, AWS, Jenkins, or Azure

• Experience writing scripts using tools, including Python, Bash, or Boto3

• Experience with automated testing frameworks
