We have an exciting opportunity to recruit an experienced Clinical Engineering Technologist to work within our Clinical Engineering team. Clinical Engineering is an essential clinical support service within our hospitals, providing whole life equipment management services for the range of medical equipment used to diagnose and treat patients throughout our hospitals. We are a dedicated team of around 35 members of staff based in workshops across the Trust.

We are looking for a talented and highly motivated individual, to lead our technical team at National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery to deliver high quality medical equipment management services to specialist neuro clinical services including Theatres and Critical Care. This post would be ideal for someone who is passionate about staff training and development and has the resilience and tenacity to ensure high standards of service performance amongst competing priorities.

The successful candidate will be supported to achieve RCT registration if they do not already hold it. The post-holder would be expected to support all team members achieve RCT registration within 3 years.

Applicants must be able to attend an on-site interview.

You will be required to work to high standards of safety and accountability and will plan and carry out scheduled preventative maintenance, servicing, non-routine repair, calibration, safety and acceptance testing on a wide range of medical equipment as well as maintenance of related computer systems. You will be a senior on-site representative of Biomedical Engineering, managing a team and overseeing communications with customers and suppliers. You will be working in the main hospital but you may be expected to travel to external sites. We value our staff and the expertise and professionalism they bring to our work. As part of your career development we will assess and monitor your training needs and ensure that you undertake in-house and formal manufacturers’ training courses.

Main Responsibilities

Our Lead Data Engineer will be responsible for the following;

• Team Leadership – manage and mentor a team of data engineers, provide guidance on best practices and ensure efficient execution. Work closely with our scrum master and product owners to ensure optimal work breakdown and allocation.
• Lead SME – Provide expert support on our technology to delivery solutions. Leading the team in the best adoption of Azure components, Snowflake, Talend and BI tools. Working with our partners and suppliers to ensure an efficient and cost-effective model.
• Data Architecture and Models – Maintain and scale our data architecture strategy alongside the Data Solutions Architect. Collaborate with teams to design and maintain effective data models to support analytics and reporting requirements.
• ELT Processes – Oversee the development and optimisation of the ELT processes for efficient data movement, ensuring data pipelines are reliable, scalable, and performant. Working across a landscape of structured and unstructured data.
• Quality Assurance – Enforce data quality standards for accuracy and completeness of data.
• Collaboration with Stakeholders – Working closely with business stakeholders and technical colleagues to understand data requirements and deliver solutions aligned with our strategy and objectives. Communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical counterparts.
• Security and Compliance – Enforce data security and compliance measures in accordance with all relevant policies and regulations. Working close alongside Data Governance to implement best practices and policies.
• Performance Optimisation – Identify and address performance bottlenecks in data processing.

The Ideal Candidate

We already have an established team of Data Engineers. We need a new lead who would complete this great team. You will have already been a line manager and be comfortable with working closely with key stakeholders in house or client facing. You will also need to demonstrate the following essential skills;

• Cloud Technology Experience, Programming and Coding Languages – Mainly those used in the wrangling and transformation of data such as SQL, Phyton, R, etc.
• ELT Experience – Extensive experience working on large and complex projects designing and developing ELT process, DataLakes and Data Warehouses.
• Agile Working – Experience in delivering results in an Agile way of working.
• Communication – Working with technical and non-technical counterparts, facilitating effective collaboration and resolution.
• Problem Solving – Analyse complex data challenges, identify solutions and implement effective strategies.
• Project Management – Ability to manage and deliver data engineering projects on time, to high standards.
• Continuous Learning and Improvement – Commitment to looking at market and technology trends to stay connected with advancements in the field.
• Leadership Experience – Success in leading and managing a team of technical colleagues.

Desirable skills;

• Experience working with our technology stack; Snowflake, Talend and Azure Services.

• Keep our building services equipment and systems in top notch condition

The purpose of the role is to provide a comprehensive parking management service to the benefit of residents and businesses in the Borough and to ensure a high quality of services and advice to the Council, its clients, partners and the general public.

Key Responsibilities:

Deliver the implementation of various type bays such as EV parking bays; cycle hire bays, Cycle hanger bays.
Manage and co-ordinate a programme of parking schemes ranging from minor amendments or additions in parking controls to the identification, development and implementation of on-street parking schemes including CPZs; time limited parking and CPZ reviews.
Ensure that Council’s statutory responsibilities are met in terms of parking safety and access.
Continually assess and keep the Commissioning Manager informed of demands and priorities required and provide him/her with relevant statistics on the team’s performance and needs and to assess and report on the quality of the group's output.
Provide cover on a day to day basis in the absence of the Commissioning Manager on matters directly relating to the responsibilities of the post holder and refer more complex issues for decision where early responses are required.
Contribute to the development of traffic and transport strategies and plans including all relevant audits and TfL proformas
